It starts off during Revenge of the Sith, just before Palpatine gives Executive Order 66. We haven't really figured anything out beyond what we already proposed in the thread...

Thought I'd let you guys know another role play site for Star Wars is: mixedgenre.suddenlaunch.com I sort of own it. I am the admin, but my rl friend is the other admin and it has other possibilities for role play there as well. But I haven't been role playing there recently and my rl friend wants people sent her way as well because only she and a guy named Rodgin are rping in the Star Wars section right now. So I thought I'd let all of you know, in case you're interested.

We should probably compile a list of rules for characters and ships.
Rule #1: No Sith.
While a Jedi can always turn to the Dark Side, he cannot become a full Sith, because the Sith order has had a strict limit on numbers for a few thousand years: two. Two Sith at any one time. This RP takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, so it's well known who those two Sith are: Darth Sidious a.k.a. Emperor Palpatine, and his apprentice Darth Vader.
Aric can probably come up with some good rules on how tricked out your ship can be...

Rule #2
No God-Modded ships. Add things that would be reasonably added to a ship in your line of work. NO STAR TREK SHIP ADDITIONS. Star Trek ships are the equivlent of god-modded Star Wars ships.
EDIT: Also, if you have an established ship design, stick with it's schematics. For example, not to pick on thereisnosaurus, but how does a blockade runner have fore and aft engines? it just has the 8 on the block in the back, unless I missed something in your bio...

Just an idea -- His blockade runner may not be a Corellian Corvette. It could be another make.
And a nitpick -- TIE stands for Twin Ion Engine. So you cannot have four TIE Engines, unless you mean to say you have eight engines. Also, sayine TIE Engine is redundant...ion engines would suffice.
And that's all for my geeky nitpicking.
ALSO -- Order 66 JUST HAPPENED. So while, it's okay for Bossk to know about the Jedi slaughter, it doesn't make as much sense for thereisnosaurus' character to know about it yet, nor to know that the Temple has gotten jacked up -- at this point Obi-Wan and Yoda haven't fixed the beacon yet.
edit: Rule #3 -- No getting ahead of another person's character.
If you're going to make a decision about someone else's character's future, consult them first.
edit: Okay, so his ship is a Corellian Corvette. Change it, thereisnosaur...some edits are needed. lol

To reinforce Stouthorn's point, there are only two Sith at any one time. A Master and an Apprentice. Sidious wants Anakin. He's the Chosen One, remember. Anybody else is simply a means to an end. Darth Maul, Darth Tyrannus, all of them were stepping stones toward the ultimate Sith apprentice. Chances are, those who are claiming to be Sith and serving Palpatine are simply pawns in a greater scheme. Also Stefan, you might want to specify that your Corellian corvette has retro thrusters. Those flaps than cover the main engines and redirect thrust forward to stop forward momentum. Just like the ones you see on the Invisible Hand. Also, "TIE" is a general word for all eye-ball fighters. Even Darth Vader's TIE X1 fighter from Episode IV is called a TIE even though it has four engines. Just be sure to specifiy which one you're using, the generic one or the technical one that Stouthorn listed. EDIT - I rechecked Stefan's stats. It's not a Corellian Corvette. It's a stealth corvette of only 58 meters in length. The Corellian corvetter is 150 meters. Also, for a rough timeline, you can check out the ROTS script. Every scene has the rough time of day. You can tell what time it is by tracking the changes in daylight setting by looking at each scene. For example, look at all the Coruscant scenes and you can tell how much time passes (roughly) by looking at the changes in the position of the sun. When it's morning in one scene, then it's night at the next one, then you know half a day passed. - Aric

Just to post some pictures. Here's one of a Venator-class Star Destroyer and a Victory-class Star Destroyer next to each other that I got from another site. The VicStar is 900 meters long while the VenStar is 1,137 metes long. And here is one of various clone troopers. I found a page that describes some of the color schemes, but I have to search through my bookmarks to find it. Hope this fires up some of those imaginations. - Aric

Ok...(cracks fingers) let's try our hands at identifying these buggers: From left to right -- 1) A galactic marine in cold-weather gear. These guys served Ki-Adi Mundi on Mygeeto. That is, until they served him a face full of blaster fire. 2)Can't figure this guy's function based on his armor -- don't know from his helmet -- but he seems to be an ARC of some kind, judging by the skirt. The colors mean he's either with the 327th on Felucia or the 212th on Utapau. 3) An ARC trooper with the 327th on Felucia, possibly Commander Bly. These guys gunned down Aayla Secura. 4) Your basic biker scout, this one serving with the 41st Elite Corp on Kashyyk with Yoda. Probably flew a BARC speeder. 5) Your average grunt. 6) Special shock trooper, served as Palpatine's elite crack force on Coruscant to assure a safe transition. These guys eventually become Coruscant law enforcement. 7) BARC trooper -- Biker Advanced Recon Commando. They don't all fly speeders -- these guys can do walkers, too. The color scheme indicates he was with 41st on Kashhyk, not because the 41st has camoflauge armour regularly, but 'cause they did when on Kashyyk. 8) Trooper infantry with the 212th on Utapau. 9) Trooper with the 501st -- Darth Vader's personal legion.

Update on the unit designations I listed earlier. Goes beyond just numbers; rather, I should be more specific. The units seen are:
the 212th Attack Batallion the Galactic Marines the 327th Star Corps the 41st Elite Corps the 501st Legion and the special shock trooper is a member of the 65th Security Legion
There's also a 91st Reconnaisance Corps seen in the film -- they are on Saleucami, and they shoot down Stass Allie on her speederbike.
Oh, and remember I said that the 41st probably don't go around wearing camo all the time? I just found out their regular armor carries grey markings.

*chocolate*, I hate double posting, much less TRIPLE posting, but I had to call attention to this:
Can we please discuss what's disseminated on the HoloNets? I ask this because...well, I would assume most people don't know Anakin=Darth Vader, don't know the Emperor is a Sith except by implication. I don't fault people if their character has priveleged info, i.e. access to files at the temple, as thereisnosaurus' character might have, but otherwise, how will people not on Coruscant, or even not in the Temple, know more than what's being broadcast, except that what's being broadcast is suspect.
