"No, as far as I know," Sil replied calmly. He wasn't about to alianate his new found friends. "the Lay of Dimonset was used by The Five to find Dinotopia. The Story goes, Talmen, the Leader of the Rider's in that time, and his trusted council, including Ortha, sought a safer place for the Dragon's of the Outer World."
"While looking through the Records of Istari, The ancient city of Riders, Ortha came across a lay that spoke of an ancient island. She was looking for information on a safer place, for the city was being attacked by angry villagers." Sil rested a moment.
"The lay spoke of a place where dragon's of bygone day's, this of course spoke of dinosaurs as well as the Prehistoric Dragon's that roamed the old world with them, or so we thought, roamed the land in safety with human's, in no fear of being hunted. So Ortha brought the song to Talmen and the rest of the Council, and chose to evacuate the City. Then the people took the longer journey across the sea, and found the paradise that was Dinotopia. Or so the story goes." Sallah had finished her song and was listening quietly at Sil's shoulder.
"Uh-huh, and then they wandered Dinotopia in search of a place to find a newer better City. They settled in the Platinum Valley on the shores of what they called Kithos Lake. And it was said that the Council mingled with the city folk and their lines became one with the people they had sacrificed so much for." She said, a single tear running down her cheek in what was lost.
"But of course, you could be right. Maybe we should go and find out." Sil suggested, having no idea of the muddling in Dwaggie's head.

(OOC: I'm on a role here. I have more to add.) ;D
The Elder then runs out of the house. "Why sir Dwaggie you should be ashamed of your self for coming up with a foolish scheme like this. Andrews came to me and told me everything what you are planning. Do you think it is wise to put the draconian society at risk here? This could indeed put this village and Dragon City at a very dangerous situation here. I advise you to think this one over." This really got the town talking and thinking. Dwaggie turns to the Elder. "I see your point. But that song…" The Elder cuts him off, "It's just and old legend. Nothing more. Drop this." The elder closed his eyes when he said this. He was afraid he insulted the Dragon's honor and was waiting to feel his fiery breath. "Allright." Dwaggie said, "Have it your way. I'm going back to my lair to sort out these thoughts." And in a flash he was gone. Andrews comes out. "Wheres Dwaggie?" The Elder replied, "He went home. I think he got mad for what I just told him and he stormed off to the high mountains in the north." This made Andrews very upset. "Now you did it. The only reason he went back to his lair is to go on this stupid quest." "No! He isn't. He is just going to think it over, That's all." The Elder shot back. "I wish there was a way to get to him. But, nobody has ever have. And I heard stories that the ones that did made it up there were frozen to death by his breath. Even the Skybax fell to approach him form the air. Just maybe another dragon could do it." "No! Sir," the boy shot back, "I will not want to see any on theses dragon become frozen too." Then Andrews here's Dwaggies thoughts, "It's alright boy. I'll let them through. I promise you I won't hurt them. You have my word on it." The Elder looked surprised as he saw the boys face cheer up. "Let me guess. Dwaggie?" The boy nodded. "Then we don't have to worry?" the boy nodded again. The the Elder turned to the visitors. Do you really want to go to Dwaggie to see what he's planning? And then he said no more…

(OOC: Oh! I was hoping you would try to shoot them down. They're both excellent flyers. I'm sure they would have been able to get by. But have it your way. And I had an awsome thought. Just wait and see. He-he! *evil grin* And I warn you now, this is going to get mushy!)
"We'll gladly go and see him. I didn't mean to ruin your celebration with the song. I just thought that if we knew of it, it might have some signifigance with you and yours. But I never meant to cause a rift between you and Dwaggie." Sil was agast at what he had done. With a deep sigh he sat on the nearby bench and covered his hands with his face.
Sallah came over and grabbed him in a reasurring embrace. "Don't worry. We'll fix this. And Andrew's can come too. I'm sure he'd enjoy seeing where Dwaggie lives. I know I would." Sil uncovered his face and flashed the woman a smile.
"Your right. We'll leave as soon as possible." Sil rose and walked over to Xepher's tack. Xepher brought her large body up to her rider.
"So, we shall go to this Dwaggie's lair? I've always wished to see the home of a Western Dragon. It will be an experiance" She said as Sil slipped the leather strap's around her neck.
He didn't notice Sallah sneak up behind him.
"What's up?" She said, placing her hands on his shoulder's. Sil jumped in surprise.
"You startled me." He said taking her hand in his. "This is turning into a real adventure." He said, putting one hand protectively around her curvy body.
"Uh-huh," she replied, looking him up and down. Sizing him up. "And I promise," she said. "When this is over, we'll find some time to be alone."
"No," Sil said, a note of urgency creeping into his voice. "No, I was going to wait, but as this may be something way over our head's, I want to do this now before it's to late. And seeing as Xepher and Kilodren have just mated it only seem's right." From his pocket, Sil pulled out a thin silver chain, on the end rested a thin, plain, silver band, the Dragon City equivilant of an ingagement band
Sallah let out a small gasp, her hand darting to her mouth. Sil took her hand and pressed the pendent into it, wrapping her finger's around the small silver necklace.
"Sallah, will you marry me?" He asked, his eye's showing only the slightest hint of plee. In answer, Sallah wrapped her arm's around Sil's neck, tear's rolling freely down her cheek's, and her mouth locked into a ear to ear smile. She kissed him quickly, and they hugged, Sallah crying all the time "yes, yes, yes, yes!" over and over.
They stopped momentarily, Sil took the thin silver chain and put it on Sallah's thin neck. They then took each other in their arm's, enjoying each other as no-one else, could. Their dragon's watching protectivly, emmiting a slight hum in jubilation.
He landed in the small, decript, campsite. A squadron of His minions, a mix of Mountain and Prehistoric Dragon's, landing behind Him. As soon as His feet touched the ground. All of the member's of the camp, human and saurian, rose to their feet, some form of weapon pointing right at the beasts.
"What da-ya want, Dragon? We ain't got time for your games." An old, salty, man cocked his chin at Him, an even older pistol aimed for his head.
"I, have a proposition for you. It is my knowledge that your, group are reponsible for the death of a dragon clan known as the Mazaanakolas?"
(he, he, he! I am an evil little demon, aren't I?)

The human moaned, when the dragon picked him up and placed him on her back.
"Here we go again" he groaned
She motioned for him to tie the ropes on his wrist around her. Sadly, the ropes were way too small to fit around a dragon. On the plus side, the human just happend to have some rope with him that could fit. Now secured to his friend, the human pressed flat against her, and held on as best he could. He sure better get used to this.

Sil leaned down to the young boy. "Of course you can come with us. We were planning on it."
Sallah knelt down low, taking the boy's shoulder in a reasuring grip. "We'll fix this, I promise. And we'll find the truth of Dwaggie's past, and our's as well. Who know's we might be connected." She said as she resumed her normal hight, which wasn't much.
The two rider's walked to their dragon's, Andrews following Sallah to the golden Kilodren.
Kilodren brought his head down to the little boy's level. "Have no fears little one, all will be well." He stared into the young lad's eye's, Kilodren's being almost as big as the boy's small head. The two dragon's crouched low, and with an incredible spring, and a single sweep of their wings, the dragon's left the square, heading for the Western Dragon's lair.
Forthera had been flying for two day's straight, having spent only a few hours on a small atoll, where both human and Dragon spent a few hour's swimming in the warm ocean water's, cavorting with a local pod of dolphin's.
But now she was tired, and ready to reach her destination. On her back, she felt the man squirm in discomfort. She had been relying on gliding power for the past several hour's and needed a place to rest. And, to make matter's worse, it seemed a storm was approaching, or was she heading to it? She really could care less now. Unless she could find someplace to land and wait out the storm, or get enough energy to fly over it, she was screwed, no way around it.
"I have a proposition for you." He told the Dragon Hunter's. "How would you like the chance to kill every dragon on this Island? Excluding me and my friends of course, as well as have the chance to gain all the treasure you can stuff in your pocket's" He knew human's well enough, especially these kind, they loved wealth. "And, if you suceed, have the oportunity, to leave this Island and hunt the dragon's left outside." He knew that when this was over, He would have to kill these people, human's could never have a standing with Him, and beside's if He wasn't careful, they might kill Him, and He couldn't have that.
He motioned to one of His minion's, who tossed the bag infront of the men. With His for-wing, He flipped the top open, it glissened with gold, and jewel's in the firelight.
"So, how about it?"

Andrews was very happy that the dragon riders let him go with them. Andrews wasn't even afraid of riding a dragon either. He rode Dwaggie lots of times before the dragon gave the boy for the Elder to care for. The boy always loved to go flying with Dwaggie. "This is the first time I've ever saw a saddle on a dragon before." Andrews said with a grin. "I rode quite well on Dwaggie without one especially, when Dwaggie would do all those crazy maneuvers he did. Dwaggie would do a maneuver that no other dragon can do or copy. He said he learned it when he was watching some strange device flying through the air. They used to call this maneuver 'Descending 360 Degree Circle' and he loved it."
Andrews pointed the way they should take to get to Dwaggie's lair. The flight took them over the north gate of Nibelheim and, over a trail that seemed to disappear as they went further north. Just a couple of miles north from Nibelheim the forest went from a tropical paradise to a winter wasteland with blinding snow and ice-storms. This is why Dwaggie chose this area for his lair because the weather was unbearable for anyone to walk there. The only way was to fly in. Even that was very tricky too. That if you could see the ground. At times the ice-storms were so bad you lost your bearings and you had to wait out the storm. Today that wasn't the case. The storm wasn't bad at the altitude they were at for now. But the higher up in the mountain they went the storm got more intense. "We have to make a course correction and lower your altitude up ahead. I'm telling you this now, The route will be very tight at this very low altitude." Andrews said with a warning. And very tight it was indeed. They had to fly through trees and rock formations in the mountains at this altitude. They flew as far as they could go and they were forced to land. "Okay, Now we have to walk the rest of the way from here." This is as far as people could get. And they could see why too. This was an eerie site to see. It was where the people got smite by Dwaggie's breath. They saw some people half burned and some frozen. Then they saw something they never saw before. It looked like the person was struck by lightning. "Hmmm… Andrews said in total shock. "It looks like Dwaggie chose this place well. Looks like he has the weather on his side." Then Andrews hears Dwaggie in his mind."Oh, Andrews, your here in the mountains? You must be careful where you are. And that wasn't the weather that killed that person." This got Andrews confused when he heard Dwaggie say it wasn't the weather. Dwaggie continued, "Look for a hidden cave on the left side of all those people. Go in the cave but don't get lost. You know the way to my lair. Make sure you and your visitors are not being followed." The Boy turned to the riders and their dragons, We have to find a cave entrance that is cleverly hidden here someplace. Then I will guide you to Dwaggie's lair. Lets just make sure that we are not being followed"…
Not to far away…
The Dragon hunters were trying to find the dragon's lair too. They wasn't having any luck until… "Arrr, listen, I hear 'oices up ahead. Aye." one of the hunters said. "Ahoy, that means that we be on the right track. Follow those 'oices. Gar." The Dragon hunters were here too…
(OOC: Since the Dragon Hunters are an evil bunch, I thought that they should talk like pirates. Or maybe kinda like pirates.)

By now, the human was sarting to get used to being on the back of a giant lizard, several hundred feet above the ocean. Though, the human was still scared to death, and held Forthera tight. Most of the time the human would humm, or sing songs to keep his mind off of the sharp drop in any direction.
"When I'm dead and laid out on the counter A voice you will hear from below Saying "Send down a hogshead of whiskey To drink with old Rosin the Beau" To drink with old Rosin the Beau" To drink with old Rosin the Beau" Saying "Send down a hogshead of whiskey To drink with old Rosin the Beau"
The human was so engrossed in his song, he failed to notice it began to drizzle...a small sample of what was about to come.

Xepher and Kilodren, flew lightly, each beat of their wing's resounding in the eerily silent valley. Xepher snorted.
"This place gives even me the creep's" she said, a note of disbelief in her voice.
"I know," Sil said, watching the eery mountain's souronding them. The thick fog that purvead the valley, didn't help the mood any.
Sallah cupped her hand around her mouth, "This place gives me the creep's!" she shouted. They all heard the bass rumble of Kilodren's voice echo off the mountain's. "Kilodren think's so too." She continued. The fact that all of them were equally wary was funny, and Sil let out a solitary chuckle.
Sallah wasn't finished yet. "Andrews say's to drop altitude, and be careful, the mountian's close up lower down." She shouted, but the wind picked up at that moment and all Sil heard was "Andrews...drop altitude......mountain's...down."
"Well, you heard her Xepher, drop down to 10 necks. And be careful not to hit Kilodren" The green Mountain dragon began a slow descent, little did she know that below her and the fog, rested a band of Dragon Hunter's and sharp jagged rock's.
The storm ravaged the blue Mountain Dragon and her smaller passenger. Only Forthera's masterful flying and her excelent night vision kept her in the air. Between lightning flashes, the sky was pitch black. Forthera kept herself on the right course by sheer luck, each lightning flash showing them coming closer and closer to the raging sea below.
The sky was ripped open by another lightning flash, for a split second, Forthera and her passenger saw a large blob of land on the horizon. Forthera bugled her victory over the storm and beat her wings with renewed vigor.
Neither tired refugee noticed the huge wave come up behind them and pulled them down into the raging torrent of the sea.

The human had to muster all his experience from riding horses to stay on the dragon's back. The falling drops of rain stung every inch of his body. Maybe going with the dragon wasn't such a great idea after all.
He tried to look around him, but the rain made it impossible for him to see anything other than his companion's back. Crack! A flash of lightning illuminated all around him; the flash was just enough for the human to see the wall of water directly behind them. The human tried to scream a warning to his friend, but it was too late, both dragon and human were caught in the waters.
The force of the wave was enough to break the old ropes tying the human to the dragon, and the human was tossed to the sea.

Forthera woke on a pebble strewn beach. Beside her lay the man, sprawled out on the shore, above the tide line. Forthera remembered vaguelly the rough, reality of the storm.
She remembered being pulled under the sea by the huge surf. She remembered feeling the ropes that bound her passenger snap, and her futile attempts to grab him in the raging surf.
She remembered the reefs, huge daunting reefs that seemed to loom out from nowhere. And the dolphin's, who helped her and the human to the shores they now rested on.
Stretching herself gently, Forthera rose to her full height. She stretched her wings in preparation for a hunting trip, and felt a searing pain in her left wing.
"Uggghhhhh!" Forthera roared in pain, turning her head to lick the pained area. She dropped back to the ground, one wing pressed tight to her body, the other spread out, Forthera's head leaning over the pulled ligament, licking the wound, trying to alieviate the pain in her wing, and the stronger pain in her pride.

(OOC: Sorry about being late with my reply. I was busy with other things. ;D )
As Andrews and company were searching for the hidden cave that lead to Dwaggie's lair. They were unaware that the group of Dragon Hunter's were not so far behind. Then Andrews finds the cave. "Here it is!" Andrews motioning to the rest of the team. "I found it. Now lets just be careful and make sure we are not being followed." They made a few turns to the left and then Andrews made a startling discovery. The cavern that lead to where they were supposed to go had a river of lava going through blocking their way. "Oh No!" Andrews said in disbelief. "This was the only way we could get there. What are we going to do now?" "Don't worry boy." Dwaggie said in the boys head, "Just go back a few turns and go to the right. It maybe dangerous this way but I know you can do it." "Okay, Dwaggie said there's another way but, it's very dangerous." Andrews said with a worried look.
Meanwhile…
The Dragon Hunters were still searching for the cave. And then… "Aye, I found it." said a Hunter. "Arrr, now all we have t' do is follow thar har footprints and they would lead us t' the last o' the Mazaanakolas clan member that escaped us." "Aye, listen!" said another Dragon Hunter, "Arrr, I hear 'oices comin' from that direction. Arrr, lets quickly catch up t' them and, they will lead up t' the dragon. Aye. Ahoy, what be we goin' t' do about these people up ahead sir?" An hunter said. Arrr, "we deal with them after we hang from the yardarm the dragon." Gar. The Dragon Hunters were right behind Andrews and company…

Xepher turned her large bulk around in midair, executing a maneuver that left Andrews feeling sick, despite his location on Kilodren's back.
The two Mountain Dragons glided swiftly through the valley and turned right up the appropriate side alley. Xepher noticed a disturbance in the forest below.
"Something odd is going on down there." She told her rider and Kilodren next to her. "Should we check it out?"
Sil pondered briefly. "No," he said. "Infact, rise another ten neck's. We may never know what could be stalking the ground around here." Sil gave the appropriate hand signal to Sallah across the distance, and the two dragon's rose upward.
(OOC: I'd like to know what the riders are up against in this dangerous valley, so I can write about it.)

The gently sound of the beach echoed through the human's ears as he awoke from his deep sleep. One would still think him asleep, as he stood still, letting the hot sand warm his body. He remembered nothing about the storm or the dolphins that saved him from his almost certain death. The beach was so peaceful, it was impossible to believe just a few hours ago a storm that size struck it. The calm didn't last forever, though. A mighty roar broke the stillness. The human's friend was in pain! Groggily, the human sat up in the sand, to see his friend licking her wing. She was hurt, no doubt about it. The human felt it was his turn to hunt for the food.
"I'll be back, give a roar if you need me."
The human disappeared into the forest, but right before leaving Forthera's sight, the human removed a gun from his belt. You couldn't expect a human to hunt with his bare hands can ya?

(OOC: I fix the Norton issue. yay, ;D Now I can continue the RP.)
As Andrews and company were back tracking their steps because their route was blocked by the lava river. They were unaware the surprise that laid up before them. The Dragon hunters were right in their path. This was the classic ambush. Andrews rounds the turn and slams right in to a Dragon Hunter. The others weren't not so far behind when Andrews comes in to view. "Aye, well, Well, Well, now look what we have har." said the hunter that Andrews ran in to. The Hunter quickly nabbed Andrews. "Ahoy, and look thar be more. Aye." Said another hunter. "Let me go!" Screamed Andrews. Who are you people and what do you want with us." Andrews screamed. The leader of the Dragon Hunters stepped up to Andrews. "Aye, we be lookin' for the last o' the Mazaanakolas Clan and you be goin' t' lead us right t' him" *evil laugh* "Who, Mazaanakolas, whats that?" the boy said in a nervous voice. "Arrr, don't be grungy boy. Aye." The leader said, "Aye, we know your lookin' for that dragon. Gar." "Aye, hey boss, Lets just take these dragons they have and, torment them. I'm sure the Mazaanakolas Dragon if he cares about them will attempt t' rescue them." Another hunter spoke, The Boss turns to the hunter that spoke, "Arrr, idiot! that Mazaanakolas Dragon is t' smart for that kind a trick. We will have t' think o' somethin' else. Round all o' them up and, lets take them with us."
The boss turn to Andrews and company. "Arrr, if they try anythin' or try t' escape. Hang from the yardarm them. Aye" "Arrr, yes sir. Aye." The other 3 hunters said. So they all went back down the cavern to the right and up that very dangerous narrow trail. Unaware that Dwaggie was talking to Andrews, they headed up the cavern trail. "Hey boy?" Dwaggie said in Andrews mind. "I have a plan. So soon as you are all at the top, Make a right at the next passage way. I have a surprise waiting for the hunters. As soon as you and your friends pass the entrance, I will jump out in front of them and cut them off. While you and company go down to the left cavern and hide. They will never find you." Andrews gets a worried look on his face for Dwaggie, as he turns over his shoulder at his friends and whispered to Sil what to do…
(OOC: Well, What do you suppose is going to happen now? Will Dwaggie sacrifice himself to save his friends? And what about Andrews? What will his reaction be? You will have to wait and see. Hawhawhawhaaaaaaa…)
