Here is a Dinotopia parade poem.

It is not as beautiful or moving, just a bit of fun I thought of after the Notting hill carnival.
"Please don't rain on my parade."
Our local Dacenturus said
To a little dark cloud in the sky.
"My plates are painted in colours bright
My farmer friend stayed up all night
Polishing my jewelled tail spike:
His wife sewed banners for my head and sides
With footprint-alphabet messages
And all the village kids want rides."
Us kids crowded onto him and the cart
Waiting for the Parade to start
Then the Brachiosaurids came
I can't remember them all by name
But Astrodons and Diplodoci
And a Brontosaur came by
Loaded with people and dressed up pretty
To lead the parade to Waterfall City,
With players, tumblers, goods for sale.
An Ambulocetus, a walking whale
Went by with fur of brilliant blue -
And a Giganotosaurus too
A Parasaurolophus and his jockey
A team of Troodons playing hockey
And a Mamenchisuchus with a horn -
Flowers were scattered, and all were born
Into the city with songs and praise
And the Parade went on for 3 days.
This started out like an adventure but it worries me that some might get offended if left out, and I don't want to copy anything, just use inspiration, so I'll just leave it where it stands as a poem or possible work-in progress. I had it exact in the night. Do people think James Gurney might do us a poem on the Wedding Parade of Will Denison or don't you think he wants to imply they had such things? I can just imagine them being married by a dinosaur in a hat or someone from the council -the Mayors are from TV -possibly the Bonabba Weatherman-after the Hand of Dinotopia.
But perhaps they just had a Partnership parade. Anyway, I guess it's less controversial just left as it is.
