Would baby dinosaurs have blue eyes when they first hatch like kittens do when their eyes open a few weeks after they're born?

hatched or the normal genetic colour they're going to have in adulthood like yellow, just the black bit's bigger. Same with Snakes and Crocs. It isn't even common to all mammals I don't think - does it happen with lambs and Cows and horses? Cuteness has evolved in babies to make the parents look after them with large heads and eyes and more rounded paws or large feet they can grow into. It may be that on Dinotopia as the birth rate got less some Dinosaurs adapted in to having blue eyes as a baby to make other adults want to look after them. Some, like Amber, grow up having them, but adult eye colour still probably depends on Genetic parent's colour, as in all nature.

maybe for some species they have blue eyes all their lives and other species are born with blue eyes that gradually change. And may-haps yet others are like humans where they aren't necessarily born with blue eyes but the color doesn't change.

Some birds' eyes will change color as the bird reaches maturity... just that in many of these cases, it's a very subtle change, for instance, changing from black to a dark, dark brown.
