Guys,
Our dear admin still hasn't told me what she wants the new members to be be selected by so I didn't know what to do with 'Guppy' signing up but I can't keep the account pending for all eternity. So yes we have a new member, be nice. I can ask Az and have done so several times already since the hacker problem came back in August but I have received no answers as of yet and I have no indication of when I'll know more. bdsp Vorchia

Why bother with the approving accounts? There is no way for us to tell if someone is a spammer or not and approving accounts only creates more work for admins.
To help with the admin work since I'm obviously not able to do as much as I would like, I now grant Aric the power to modify and delete posts.

Congratulations, Aric. I'm sure you can handle it; how hard can it be? And if not, there's plenty of other people on the board, surely one of us can.

Nah, it pays to have lost of suggestions all the time as well as being the one to ring the alarmbell all two times we´ve sufferend from a spammer. Since he seems to have a nose for being the first to get online after the spammer visited the baord, he was the most logical choice to get the power of ´Mopping up the Board´. ;D

I have my own board, too. It's not that bad, usually. Unless you've got hackers. Then it sucks.

Thanks folks. The job hasn't been too hard, actually. Just some editing and deleting here and there.

Aric, just what have you been editing and deleting and why? It'd be nice if you posted why you deleted or edited something so people can know why. Like, I have no idea what has been deleted and neither has Az. Maybe you can make a post in announcements when you do something administrative? That way all the admins can follow what the others are doing and the board members can see the reasons of an admin's actions. I usually make a post when I've done something administrative. I haven't done a lot since the hacker attack, only updated the STOMP thread and the STOMP contest thread. That was old news by the time I got aroudn to it though so I didn't make a post about THAT but the rest is all accounted for. BDSP Vorchia

BDSP Vorchia I have a couple of examples here: I edited this post because Stiletto's undressed link was messing up the page's format. I told davedavis here that I deleted his other thread from Announcements because I didn't want there to be extraneous threads cluttering up the board. And, I deleted a post of triceracop's because it was totally off-topic from the thread he put it in. I recalled someone deleting a couple of posts from threads without any notice, so I thought I'd follow the example. Next time, though, I'll just snip the text and insert a notice that the post didn't belong there along with a warning, or something. - Aric
