I just saw this on the local news and I thought Okay what this all about? After watching this and hearing what they said about it raised some big scary thoughts. To re-create something like that would create black holes. That in my book is very dangerous. Things get sucked in black holes and they want to open one. Even the smallest one the size of a dime can suck this planet up. To be, IMO I think this is the most stupid idea they ever could come up with.
If you can't get the video to work here is the Site Link

In order for a black hole to be traditionally created, you need A LOT of mass - on the order of a star's mass. The idea that you can create black holes by shooting subatomic particles at each other is 1) profoundly ignorant, and 2) freaking hilarious. Barry, did you even bother listening to the youtube link you posted? The lady scientists said that the creation of a black hole in the CERN lab was unlikely because we already have high-energy particle collisions happening ALL THE TIME IN NATURE, and yet you don't see millions of micro black holes eating up the earth, moon and sun. There's clearly a lower limit when it comes to the minimum mass needed to make a black hole - and the particles at the CERN lab won't cut it. So please, let's dispense with this doomsday nonsense. - Aric EDIT - Looks like some stupid girl in India committed suicide over this irrational "ZOMG!" reaction to the CERN experiments.

I watched it on CNN and Fox when it first aired and some scientist they talked to mentioned about the blackholes. Anyhow, Its the media. They only tell you what they want you to hear and not what should be said. You can't trust them now days.Hey, The way I figure it, it may create new and unusual thingys, or it might destroy all life as we know it... I hear you on that. =) Well, no matter what the outcome is. I'm going to still live my live the same way I've always have.Which is basically doing nothing and having a good time. As they say, "Sit back and enjoy the ride."
