This picture was done for my boyfriends Christmas present. It took about 35-40 hrs of work, but it was totally worth it. Picture is actually 9"x9" Done in Colored pencil and I used rubber cement thinner as a solvent on parts of it.

*first comment dance* hehehee, I can't type much as I'm holding the phone while talking to Az. *two minutes later* Oh now she hung up to prepare for going out so now I have TWO hands to type with! Isn't it a nice bird? She's talking about it for a long time. Heck she even updated me on the progress while she was calling me this week and last week. Multitasking raptors... This week she actually managed to combine international phonecalls with taking pictures, uploading art and... baking a pie! bdsp Vorchia

You better make sure your boyfriend doesn't come around here, otherwise he'd see that card early.
Assuming, of course, that it's suppose to be a surprise...
Anyway, great work. That firebird might make a nice brocade job on someone's STOMP costume. Especially if they're wearing an Asian style.

Her boyfriend never visits the Temple, I don't know if he even knows it exists.

The Firebird was Greg's Christmas present last year. This year, he gets The Phoenix, which I have yet to complete. I've just got a line drawing filled out with colored pencil. This one is going to take quite a bit of time to do too, but I enjoy the process=) Gives me something to work on and to keep me distracted from the insanity in my life when I want to relax.

Ooooooooooh! So this is the pic you were talking about. It's very pretty and detailed. I love the colors and the shading is very well done. Great job, Azzy. *hug*
