Next time, you might want to use a free program to shrink those images. They're messing up the formatting.
Anyway, did the Yanks really dig that trench, or was it there already?
Also, the wheels on that artillery piece look to be on the verge of falling apart...

I have considered it, to reduce loading time for people with dial-up. The formating dosen't really concern me, since it's no big deal. But if I do shrink them, they won't be able to show as much detail. I don't know for sure, for several reasons: - We got there a day late
- The provost guards would not let us into the camp when we arrived
- We were not allowed to leave the confederate camp without a password (or we would be arrested)
So I didn't get to see the trenches until the second day of the battle. But if I had to guess, I would say the trenches were already dug out before the yankees got there. No, there was a storm the night before. All that stuff on the wheels is just mud and dead grass. Though that would be great to see, mobile artillery falling apart on the field.
