OOC: To all who dare to accept my challenge... Alright, so we can write some pretty good stuff . But anybody can include things such as cussing and sexual romances . Let's get creative ! I dare you guys to join in my roleplay and come up with some new exclamations and romances that will rock this world into an even higher sphere ! Can YOU take the heat? -Blazetail Malkia swept over her small hometown of Gilabed, Avidan's sleek body diving at full speed and finally pulling up just before they hit the ground. The gryphon screeched in joy, "Look at all that dust I picked up, and yet none of it got on me! We're getting better at that, Malkia!" Malkia rolled her eyes. Avidan was a great friend to her, but he could be very ridiculous at times. For ten years now, she had been sworn to the service of the King of Kamchatka, but she had never been called into action. The only way she found relief from her frustration was through her flights with Avidan. Malkia looked down from her perch high above Gilabed and saw her mother waving to her. "Come on, Avidan, I've gotta see what mom has for me this time" The gryphon sighed, then gingerly touched down on the dusty road leading to Malkia's home. The eighteen-year-old girl ran to her mother, who looked excited, but held a touch of concern in her expression. "Malkia" she called out to her daughter, waving a piece of parchment in her hand, "It's from the King!" Malkia took the parchment and examined its contents. "My first mission!" she exclaimed in absolute surprise, "Avidan, I'm going to start packing. We leave for Daynest first thing tomorrow morning!"

((ooc: I can DEFINATELY handle your challenges, Kendi! This should be fun!! By the way, what type of climate are your characters in? I kinda got the idea, but for my char, I need to double check. )) High above, Carmina the dragon soared in the freezing temperatures of the high altitude. Her black wings were held out stiffly for her to glide without using all of her strength. The land below didn't seem too warm for her, but she knew via experience what her body's natural coldness could do to the lush vegetation. She was only 150 years old, but with her kind, she was still a juvenile. Only around 45 feet in length and almost reaching fifteen feet from head to toe, she was average-sized for her age. Her kind came from the much colder, ice-covered lands to the far south and the cold climate had effected their physiology. Whenever they were in a warmer climate, their bodies radiated extreme cold, usually killing the fresh vegetation. Instead of fire, they breathed ice--which could be just as deadly. Carmina shook her massive head and eyed the air below. She was considered the most agile flyer her clan had ever seen and she agreed, but they were too slow for her to stay with them for long. A flash of color that wasn't part of the green below caught her blue eye and she saw a gryphon diving for the dusty ground. Normally, she would have thought about how appetizing it would be, but there was a human on its back, which piqued her curiosity. Keeping herself very quiet, Carmina circled the human house below, waiting to see what happened next. ((ooc: I hope you don't mind me putting a dragon in here, Kendi. I though it would be fun to have two different mystical species in one RP. Tell me if you don't like it. By the way, I'll try to PM you some names for our problem with Elsu later. Maybe we can pick one out that fits his character.))

ooc: I had given up hope that someone would reply to this one! Hooray! *bounces around the room and finally hugs Nightskye* Malkia rushed to her room, slammed a number of changes of clothes (a girl thing ) into a saddlebag, and fingered a long, spear-like weapon used for defence while on the back of an animal. It had a hook at the end of it, to assist in sharp turns or picking something left behind on the ground. She took it and clasped it onto the saddlebag, then reached for her sword, Reply. Its onyx blade was slender and light, made specifically for a girl's abilities as a swordsman. The hilt was accented with the image of a gryphon's face and two talons reaching out from behind it, cast in black and white marble. Malkia's heart pounded as she sheathed it, and she prayed that she would have the courage to use this when nesseccary in the upcoming battle between her King's army and the Shadow People. She tied the sheath around her waist and walked out into the brisk, cooler mountain air. Her mother saw Malkia and gasped, "What did the King ask you to do?" Malkia smiled a little sadly and said, "He asked for my services as a healer in the, uh, field" Before she let the words sink in, Malkia mounted Avidan and they exited Gilabed to camp outside to gate, a sure sign that the duo would be leaving the next day. ooc: Nope, I don't mind the dragon. Actually, I should have mentioned that the more variety of mystical animals we have in this RP, the better it will turn out!

Anciano and Wylirean saw the black wings of the dragon flying high above the small house. Wylirean spoke to Anciano in his mind and together they turned on a wing and flew to investigate. Anciano's own black-feathered wings were tucked tight at his back, his cloak secured around them.
Far below the dragon they could both see a gryphon waiting before the house, Wylirean able to see it with ease, Anciano only able to pick of the small shape of it. Together they watched, keeping eyes on both the dragon and the gryphon. Wylirean kept as best he could to the cloud cover, trying to mask the shine of the sun on his bronze scales.
Amazingly enough, it was Anciano who picked up on the ant-like movement of the human leaving the house and mounting the gryphon, moving to just outside the town and stopping there. Wylirean and Anciano remained in the clouds. Watching the other dragon and waiting, seeing if there was some need of them.
((OOC: Hope you don't mind another dragon and a human/celestial. Anciano hides his wings behind the cloak when around those he doesn't know. Once he gets to know people he may reveal it though. Wylirean is a bronze dragon of adult age.))

((ooc: Glad to have another dragon around, Ebony!)) The presence of the other dragon nearly caused Carmina to loose all of her stealth and control. How could another species of dragon exist in such a warm climate? The bronze hide was nothing compared to the sight of a human-like creature on its back. When had dragons stooped so low enough to let a human ride on them? Could there even be such a thing as a domestic dragon? Her confusion was distracted when the human and gryphon left the house. There was no way that they could see her or the unexpected visitor, so she made up her mind to go follow them, hearing them converse and occasionally laugh as they went. When they stopped just outside of town, she landed graefully on a bare stretch of rock not far away and lay down to wait. ((ooc: The next move is yours, Kendi!!! I don't know where to go from here. ))

ooc: Oops, I should probably send you two a pm about the plot... Malkia and Avidan landed and the girl laid out a large blanket so that she would not be pricked by the burrs and thorns that strew the path that led away from Gilabed. Avidan playfully snatched Malkia's sword and pranced around her teasingly, like a puppy with a tennis ball. Malkia pretended as if she did not notice, then, when Avidan came tauntingly near her, she jumped for her weapon, taking it by the hilt and the duo began a game of tug o' war. Suddenly, Avidan let go of his prize, sending Malkia tumbling backwards, and sniffed the air. What he said made Malkia pause before she scolded him, "I smell sulfur" Malkia cocked an eyebrow and sniffed as well. He was right. Sulfur rode the wind towards Malkia and Avidan, but shrubbery and foilage had died in the opposite direction. "Could there be two dragons?" she wondered, shuddering at the thought

((ooc: I have to make this quick, so forgive me about the length.))
Carmina could hardly control her laughter when the two began playing. From all appearances, they should have been wary of each other, not behaving like two hatchlings. As it was, she let out a sigh, that was laden with cold and it struck a great tree at full blast. Oops, Carmina thought in dismay, watching as it quickly shriveld up from the unexpected cold. She really should be more carefull about that, but at times it seemed that she couldn't help it.
The gryphon stopped and Carmina could see him sniff, thankfull that her breath didn't have any noxious fumes to worry about. The two were instantly on alert and Carmina had to force herself to be ready to show them who she was. She slowly stood up...

Both Anciano and Wylirean stiffened as they flew overhead, watching what was unfolding. They were not too high up to come to the aid of the human and gryphon if their was need but for now they would just watch to be certain. The gryphon and human were playing tug of war with a sword, unaware of the other dragon nearby.
"Don't fly too close, Wylirean, or they may catch your-" Anciano stopped as he saw the human and gryphon both sniffed the air and sighed. "Nevermind. They have either caught yours or the blacks. The wind is blowing the right way for either."
"I have to agree, my brother. What should we do?" Wylirean asked.
"We will wait for now. See what happens. The human and the gryphon are wary now. They know that someone is about and both are armed. We will see if we are needed before making fools of ourselves."
"Agreed." Wylirean dipped his wings slightly to fly closer then hovered once more, he and Anciano watching as the other dragon slowly stood.

Makia strapped her sheath back to her waist and slid Reply into its place. They agreed that Avidan would check the shriveled shrubbery while Malkia sought out the origin of the sulfrous stench that hung in the air. Avidan raised his wings in warning as he padded carefully towards the dead tree. When he saw a black dragon stand on a large stone, he tensed and spat a warning, "Are you friend or foe to the King?" he asked ******** After wandering around on her blanket for awhile, it finally occured to Malkia that the dragon just MIGHT be above her. She cautiously glanced upwards and blinked as the evening sun glinted off the bronze scales of a dragon. Malkia, unsure whether or not she could trust this dragon, drew her sword. The dragon instantly landed and a young man leapt off its back. Malkia tensed and brought Reply to the ready position. The young man hesitated, then said, "It's alright, we are only here to help, relax. Are you an ally?" Something in his voice caused Malkia to lower her sword, "I am an ally to the King, yes" she replied, then stuck out her hand after sheathing Reply, "My name is Malkia Dasansdaughterr, the gryphon you doubtless saw from your arial perch is Avidan, my muneris (ooc: gift from the King). Whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"
ooc: I hope that was a good intro, EbDr and Nightskye

((OOC: That was fine by me.))
Anciano held up his bare hands to show that he held no weapon against the girl. "It's alright, we are only here to help, relax. Are you an ally?"
Something in his voice caused Malkia to lower her sword, "I am an ally to the King, yes" she replied, then stuck out her hand after sheathing Reply, "My name is Malkia Dasansdaughterr, the gryphon you doubtless saw from your arial perch is Avidan, my muneris. Whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"
Anciano bowed his head in greeting then looked straight at her with his kind black eyes. "I am called Anciano. A freelance warrior from another land but one loyal to your king while i am in the area. This-" He gestures to the dragon behind him, "is my brother, Wylirean."
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Malkia. I assure you that my brother speaks the truth. Neither of us mean you or your companion any harm. We would not have intruded but we worried when we saw the other dragon watching you both and you unawares. I likely would not have landed but you spotted me and i could not leave you worrying." Wylirean turned his large head in the direction of the gryphon and dragon. "If you will excuse me?" Without waiting for an answer, he moved towards where the gryphon was facing the other dragon.
"Do not mind him. He can be very single-minded when he wishes to be." He finally, belatedly, took her hand and shook it. "Sorry about that. It is not a usual greeting where i come from and i forget."

Malkia wondered at the human man calling the dragon behind him "brother", but when she considered her own close friendship with Avidan, it was not that difficult to find out why. "Avidan!" she gasped aloud Without thinking to pardon herself, Malkia ran towards the gryphon, who was now in deep conversation with a smaller black dragon. Next to Wylirean, she looked to be not only a different type of dragon, but also a juvenile of that type. Malkia tapped Avidan on his muscular shoulder, the gryphon looked at her and smiled, "Malkia! This is Carmina, she's an already active soldier in the King's army!" Malkia smiled at her friend's happiness, it must be nice for Avidan to find someone he could relate closer to than Malkia, although they were as close as two peas in a pod. "Oh, and this is Wylirean, I just barely met him" Avidan continued "I know, that's where we smelled sulfur" Malkia said

Anciano walked up beside Wylirean as the others spoke. Apparently, from the gryphon, Avidan's, introduction of the other dragon, the one called Carmina, there had not really been anything to worry about. Wylirean looked down at Anciano and whispered, "Do i really smell that bad?"
Anciano chuckled quietly. "Only when you have been mixing breath weapons. Most of the time, it is just a rather tangy acid scent. And even then only when you have used your breath weapon too often." Anciano winked at his draconic brother and Wylirean knocked him off his feet with a swipe of his tail, sending him falling to his back, both laughing loudly. They stopped simultaneously as they realized they were being stared at.
Anciano grabbed Wylirean's tail and was lifted to his feet. Both were trying their hardest to suppress their laughter, Wylirean doing better than Anciano because of his draconic features.
"Enjoying yourselves?" Malkia asked.
"Always. At least as much as possible." Wylirean nodded in agreement.

((ooc: sorry it's been a while, guys!))
The girl seemed to ignore Carmina for a while, making her feel just as if she'd never left her clan. The gryphon, however, was braver and approached just to the point where his eyes opened wide at the frigid temperatures. "Sorry about that," Carmina apologized. "I'd advise against coming closer, though. That tree died just because I could hardly keep myself from laughing at you two. I'm Carmina, freelance dragon."
"Avidan," the gryphon replied, his interest at her body's natural tendency fading away. "I work with Malkia in the king's service."
"What king?" Carmina queried, finding Avidan's way of talking quite interesting. He seemed to trill his r's and hiss his s's a little, creating an effect that relaxed her tense nerves. "I'm new to this country and haven't seen any borders that I recognize." She didn't mention the fighting going on way to the north. ((did i get that right?))
"Where are you from?"
"I come from a land in the far south where your kind and the human would freeze to death instantly in winter. In summer, it could be like your worst winter here." Carmina noticed that her shyness was going away and was even beginning to like him. "If you have to introduce me to your friend, please don't mention that I'm not from around here. I don't think she'd be used to the idea of a wild dragon."
Avidan glanced at her curiously with his eagle-shaped eyes. "I think I can try that, though Malkia and I haven't lied to each other ever since we met."
"This wouldn't be a lie, Avidan." Carmina insisted. "I personally don't want that big hulk of a dragon to come pounce on me as soon as he finds out I'm not from here, that's all."
Avidan's pupils slitted into what Carmina guessed was silent laughter. "Well, if you put it that way...I guess we can figure something out. Play along with me for now, I suppose, and at night when they're asleep I'll tell you everything you need to know about being in the king's service."
"Avidan!" Malkia gasped and trotted up to the gryphon's shoulder.
"Malkia! This is Carmina, she's an already active wandering soldier of the king's army!" Avidan was quite good at acting, even though Carmina could sense that he didn't like lying to his friend, even just for a little bit.
The larger dragon, Wylerian, greeted Carmina with a somewhat distracted air before asking his partner, "Do I really smell that bad?"
Carmina tried to ignore the two's little conversation, but she couldn't help herself. "Well, that's not as bad as what I have to endure. The last one who could come close enough to me without freezing to death was my brother!" Immedeately embarassed by her outburst, she shuffled a bit, but that brought her too close to one of the lush flowers nearby and it froze instantly. "See what I mean?!" How was she going to make friends if this always happened?
((I hope I played your chars right EbDr and Kendi. And Kendi, I hope you don't mind the little white lie Avidan has with Carmina for now. She's a wild dragon and doesn't know any countries or kings here.))

Wylirean looked at her then stepped past Anciano to come closer to Carmina. He felt the cold but only as a slight nuisance and not something that would really bother him, his internal forge keeping his temperatures from fluctuating. "Tis not that bad. I wouldn't recommend humans or the gryphon coming too close but even so, it is not impossible to make friend's here."
"Don't include me in that, Wylirean. I am better able than you think." Anciano darted forward and leaped easily to Wylirean's back, unphased by the cold. "It is a pleasure to meet all of you." A gust of wind blows and a black feather falls from beneath Anciano's cloak. He grabs for it but misses and it falls slowly to the ground.
((OOC: Sorry. All for now. First two clues as to Anciano's true nature. Hope you guys don't mind but it has to be short for now.))
