The Rider's watched Andrews turn the bend ahead of them. The air current's at this level were much to hard to navigate, even having the excelent natural abilities of Xepher and Kilodren.
The two riders walked hand in hand, strolling slowly along the almost invisible path. It was a nice sunny day, why rush?
Then they heard Andrews scream. Without a second thought, the four stepped into a sprint. Xepher and Kilodren jumping over their rider's to use the full advantage of their longer stride.
Sil and Sallah rounded the bend, coming face to face with the band of Dragon Hunters. Off to the side, Xepher and Kilodren hissed at these adversaries. The two riders immidiatly took defensive positions. A form of Martial Art, called Kenden-Ritha, was taught to every rider during their Apprentice years. Though it was mostly used for exersise and improving balence and grace, it could be used most effectivly in self defence.
The leader had been talking close to Andrews ear, and apon seeing the Riders take position, burst into laughter. One of the men pointed at them and said in a ragged, weathered voice.
"Harr, a woman and a scrawny musician! What coul' yall do to tha likes o us?" The men laughed at that, and began to circle in on the Riders. But they underestimated their advarsaries, as most villians do.
A slight smile crept on Sallah's lips, she had always enjoyed the sparring part of their exersise best. This would be a new experiance. Sil kept his face straight, only a slight frown touching the edges of his lips. He would regret this later.
One man tried to grab Sallah's arm. In one quick motion, Sallah grabbed the man and sprawled him on the moss strewn ground. Sil in turn, flipped on his hands and grabbed one of them by his legs, using his weight to flip the man over him and on his face.
The Dragon Hunters swarmed. Sil and Sallah battled bravely, but there were to many of them. Xepher and Kilodren could only watch, two men held them plastered to the forest with spears. And the two dragons had never thought to stock up on platinum before coming into the jungle, so fire was out of the question. Unless the two could reach the pouches attached to their saddles.
Sil and Sallah were captured, their dragon's coming quietly under fear of their riders' harm. Andrews leading the way to Dwaggie's lair.
(OOC: There, I didn't ruin your moment. Though I wanted to. Sil and Sallah really could have taken them.)
Forthera only grunted as she watched the man walk off into the forest. And returned to her ministration's. Without this wing, she couldn't hunt. Though she had eaten just recently. And where were they. Off in the distance, she heard a strange call. Good, she thought, there are dragon's here.
"So, how about it," He asked, ammused at the way the human's stared. This would be quite easy. "There is more, if you do your job right." He continued.
The griseld leader eyed his negotiater warily. Should he trust a dragon? What had he to loose, he could always kill it later.
"Aye," he said "we'll help ye. But on one condition, we choose the first target."
He had anticipated this. "And who might that be?" He asked calmly.
"One o them Mazaanakolas escaped. We want him" The leader said, un-afraid.
"Deal," He said, offering his forwing in the human way. The leader shook it gingerly, like it was something diseased.
He was happy, He had what He wanted, and now, His war could begin.

(OOC: Oh yea, this can still work. You didn't kill my plot. ;D )
Sil and Sallah were captured by the Dragon Hunters. And Andrews didn't know what to do at the moment. Then out of nowhere in the darkness something came on the scene. It was Dwaggie. As soon as he got in to position, one of the hunters picked up a large rock and through it at Dwaggie hitting him on his snout. That made Dwaggie mad but before he could do anything a hunter ran under him and grabbed one of Dwaggie's legs and the dragon fell over the the cave trail and down in to the canyon below. This gave Sil and Sallah the opportunity to escape from the hunters. Sil and Sallah battled bravely, they did all they could to try to slow the hunters down. Their dragon's came to help Sil and Sallah escape from the hunters. When Dwaggie fell down in to the canyon below, the Dragon Hunters gave up on Sil and Sallah and went to go find Dwaggie. As soon as Dwaggie fell off the edge Andrews screamed. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This can't be happening! DWAGGIE!" But there was no sound to be heard from below. Then one of the Dragon Hunters turned to Sil and Sallah. "Aye, okay we came t' do what we wanted. But what about all o' you." Then the boss came up, "Arrr, lea'e them. Thar be no use t' us now. We hung from the yardarm the last o' the Mazaanakolas Dragon." Then Andrews came up to one of the hunters, "How dare you! That dragon was my friend. (sniff sniff) And you killed him!" Andrews picked up a rock and was about to through it at them when the hunter grabbed him. "Arrr, your be more trouble than that dragon was. Me think we should take you with us for all the trouble we had today. Aye" Andrews started to run but he was too late. The hunter took him to the boss. "Ahoy, har boss. he's yours now. Aye."
Down at the bottom of the canyon, Dwaggie lied there motionless. As Sill and Sallah peeped down over the side of the canyon. And what about the boy? Will they try to rescue him or see if Dwaggie is alive?(OOC: If you choose to rescue the boy. You can take the hunters out if you want.)

(OOC: Weeeeeeeeeee! violence!)
Sil and Sallah turned quickly to their large mounts. They had no choice, they had to rescue Andrews. Grabbing the small pouch on the sides of their saddles. they tossed them into their dragon great maws.
In the pouches was platinum, and with platinum, Xepher and Kilodren could flame. With roars of delight, the dragons dove over the mass of escaping Dragon Hunters. Smoke now trickling from their nostril's.
Sil and Sallah waited but a moment before diving into the fray. Not a Hunter was spared in their recless charge to get to Andrews. Hunters fell before them like tree's in a hurricane.
As Sil brought attention to himself, Sallah crept up behind the two holding Andrews, and with a simple temple tap, put the two men on the ground. She then took Andrew's by the hand and rushed away from the battle.
Sil saw the two escape and told the dragon's it was safe to flame. Vaulting to Xepher's back he watched the Hunters real and scream under the burning onslaught. Sil looked away, revolted. No matter how evil they had been, killing was still wrong. And he would not be the one to do it, or witness it.
Xepher and Kilodren rushed through the discontented rabble of former Dragon Hunters. Kilodren placed Sallah and Andrews on his back, and together rushed into the veritible labrinth of caverns and tunnels that made Dwaggie's home. Searching for a way down the ravine to see if the brave beast that had risked his life to save them still lived.
(OOC: I can't do much more if no one post's. Let's get active again people! I know soem of it was my fault, I had a full plate these past few day's. But I'm back, and waitin' for some action!)

(OOC: Hey, I only missed what? One post? And I've been busy with my mid-terms (end of semester tests))
Ove r half an hour passed after the human disappeared into the jungles beside the beach, and Forthera had not heard anything from him. She was beginning to wonder if it was a good idea to let the human go off on his own, on a strange island, with other dragons running about. Sure, she was tolerant of the human, but who knew what the next dragon would think?
(OOC: Sorry about the control, I didn't know what to say about the hunting trip. I'll delete my post if you don't like it.)

(OOC: no it's fine, just don't do it again. Unless I give you permission first!)
Forthera rose up on her feet. Her wing still hurt, but she had to find something to allieviate the pain. And where was that human? He had been gone for over an hour, she was getting worried.
Forthera kept her wing pressed tight to her back as she walked sedately into the wilderness. She just had to find that human before something else did.

Peacefully the human slept, balanced on a limb of a tree. Across his lap his gun sat unused. In a clearing not far from a tree was a handful of salt (bait for any hungary animals). Tired of waiting for prey to come along and taste the bait, the human dozed off.

(OOC:Well, you can see the powers is back on. YAY! ;D I can continue the RP today and when I get back from my Sis's house Tuesday Dec. 26 I will start up again?) ;D
Andrews and company arrived back at the scene where Dwaggie fell down the ravine, Andrew was the first to jump off Kilodren’s back and headed towards the edge where Dwaggie fell down. With a worried look on his face Andrews looked back at Sil and Sallah. “How are we going to get down there? I don’t see any way we could do so." Andrews said. "It’s too dark down there. I don’t think I could see my hand in front of my face either.” This got Andrews even more worried. Than Andrews had a thought. He went up to Kilodren. “ I know that dragons are nocturnal. So at least we use the dragons to help guide us through the darkness below. But, how do we get down there? I don’t think there is not a lot of space for flying either.”
Meanwhile… down at the bottom of the dark ravine…
Dwaggie laid there motionless. He had wounds on his belly and sides from the fall as he brushed against the canyon walls. He also had a minor internal wound too. To help with the healing process, Dwaggie went in to a form of suspended animation which almost looked like he was dead. Since he suffered damage over 50% of his body, he would be there for a very long time. And what about Nibelheim? Will they be ok? If Dwaggie dies the village would not have the protection of this great beast and they would fall at the mercy of the other clans of The Outer Island.
Andrews yells down in to the darkness below. “Dwaggie are you alright?” But there is no answer. He yells again hearing nothing but the echo of his voice. Then he turns back towards Sil and Sallah. “He's dead! I know it!" He screamed. “And I can’t hear his thoughts either.Oh, what am I going to do now? I lost my dragon." Xepher and Kilodren stared at him with a puzzled look when he said that like they didn’t understand him or something. Knowing dragon face expressions and body language he walked up to the dragons. “Yes, he was mine. (Sniff Sniff) And now he’s no more. He died not to far from his home.”Then he went up to Sil and Sallah. “ I would like to be alone for now. I’m going up to Dwaggie's lair just right around the bend to the right.” And then he left…

Sallah turned to the boy, ready to comfort. Sil put his hand on her shoulder.
"I think he needs a moment. He just lost his dragon, which we both know is like loosing ones self. How would you feel if you lost Kilodren?" he asked her gently. Sallah let a small gasp at the possibility, tears beginning to well in her eyes.
'Oh, Sil..." She cryed and burrowed her head into his supporting shoulder. They stood there for many a moment, comforting each other as best they could. Xepher and Kilodren picked up a loud keen, the call to the dead, and hung there heads in sorrow. The four stood there on the edge for a while, staring at the mist and darkness.
Forthera walked into the jungle before her. She smelled the ground gingerly, smelled the human's scent, but also the scent of many other humans, as well as smells she had never even sniffed before. Where were they? She followed the human scent, and found him sound asleep in the top of a tree. One of those loud, exploding tubes across his lap.
The human let out a loud snore and continued to sleep. If she could, Forthera would have smiled. Instead she snorted, settle down under the tree and slept again.

(OOC: I just thought I do some more while I still have the time.)
As Andrews entered Dwaggie’s lair, he was thinking of ways to hopefully get down to Dwaggie. After see how deep and dark it was there, Andrews almost gave up hope. Then he was thinking about the Elder and Nibelheim. What would he say to them? Will he ever go back to Nibelheim? Or, Will Andrews move to Dragon City and try to get a dragon mate there? So many questions buzzing around in Andrews mind. But the only one question was at the top of his mind. How do I get to Dwaggie? Then he thought of something that might work but it would be very dangerous to try to attempt. They could try to fly down there. But Andrews was worried about Xepher and Kilodren. If they get hurt, It would be his fault. He just kept saying to himself. How am I going to get down there and then he fell asleep.
(OOC: Merry Christmas. I will see you all when I get back Dec. 26.) ;D

(OOC: I'm soooooooooooooooooo sorry I haven't been posting! We've been having terrible computer trouble.!)
Sallah and the others were walking slowly to the lair of the apperently dead dragon. They found Andrews sleeping on the western dragon's old bed. Despite their sorrow, the two riders felt smiles tug at their lips. He really was an exceptional boy. They had to find Dwaggie, or his body or... something, they couldn't just stand here, staring.
The two riders looked to each other, and unspeakably decided to go after Dwaggie, no matter what happened!
Forthera woke from a very deep sleep, the pain in her wing only a dull throbb. She stratched and yawned, a lizard on a nearby tree scampered off at the sight of her formidible maw.
Forthera rubbed her scaly back against the tree, forgetting that the human was sleeping above her.
His armys were massing at the entrance to Platinum Valley. A various rabble of humans, dragons, and a few carnosaurs stood in varied stages of readiness. He stood infront of them all, watching His army, and thinking. He would finally have revenge on all those humans and stupid kind dragons that made Him this way...
(OOC: This is all in flashback mode, He is thinking of His past)
"Keegben!, why are you trying to do this?" The older human asked the young Prehistoric Dragon, having no fear of the larger beast. Keegben held his head in mock despair, a wicked glint in his eye.
"Just because some beast hurt you doesn't mean you should hurt them! What were you thinking?" The human continued.
'I was thinking that I would get even of the git!' Keegben thought, but alloud he said: "He started it, he hit me over the head with his wing! On Purpose!" Keegben said, putting on his best sorry face...
The thought faded into His mind, that was a different time...
They were having fire practice, charging each other in the air and then blasting fire above the opponent. Keegben was the best of his class, the best of the yearlings.
It was tragic when he was hit with a direct blast from his opponent, blinding him in one eye, and searing the tissue off of his face. One of his horns was broken when he crashed.
Keegben would let no one near his face, even to heal it. And late in the night, He escaped. He would get revenge on all those who did this to him, all humans were his enemies, and any dragon or dinosaur who tried to get in his way was just as bad...
He scowled, and turned away from the toughts of His past, today He would get even! Today He would reign supreme!
(OOC: Hows that for a return post?)

At the summit of Dragon City the Dragon Council had called an emergency meeting. A mysterious army had massed at the entrance to Platinum Valley, and was rapidly making its way to Dragon City.
Unfortunatly, not all of the Council was present. Sil and Xepher were away on hiatus, visitng relatives on Outer Island, and Benel, the Forest Dragon, was mysteriosly missing. And to top it all off, other members of the council were unable to attend, most away with family for the Spring Holidays, the time before planting and classes begun, and just after the City Founding Celebrations.
Atorin banged his large paw on the Council table, many of the human members were in cilivian clothes, pulled from their daily lives for this emegency meeting, and the saurian and draconic members were missing their usual adornments.
When the elevating conversation did not abate, Vinigal, an elderly Parasaurolphus bugled a solumn note. The room quieted.
"Thank you," Atorin said "It seems an unknown force has mounted on our borders people. Dimorphadon messengers have been sent to discover their reason for this armed attempt to enter the city. It seems many of the humans have weapons of all sorts, and the dragon's are full of flame." The Council murmered discontentedly at that. "And," Atorin continued, raisng his growling speak to a more audible level, "There seem to be known members of the Hunters clans from the Rainy Basin, as well as a good number of Dragon Hunters."
A small Dimorphadon rushed through the window at that moment, silencing the roudy Council.
"Well," a rather bad-tempered Utahraptor asked the rather disheveled little pterosaur.
The Dimorphadon was obviously rattled, but it bravely stood straighter on the table and squaked, "To the Council Members of Dragon City, we attack at dawn. From Him."
"Thats it?" Atorin asked calmly. The little pterosaur nodded, his eyes sad and scared.
"Well then," Atorin lifted his russet head to it's full height, "The people of Dragon City must muster for war!"

Forthera finished her rubbing and when the human didn't awake, she grew a little annoyed. She wanted to find out where they were, and teh human wasn't helping.
And to top off her bad temper, she was hungry. Very hungry. And with her hurt wing, she couldn't fly, and if she couldn't fly, hunting would be difficult.
Well there were other humans here, so they probalbly had dumb livestock of some sort to eat. And that would have to do.
Forthera sat down on the ground and gave a single loud bugle. The Human had to wake up, even if she had to knock the tree down to do it.
Sil walked up to the calmly sleeping Andrews, and picked him up into his arms. Andrews slept on, oblivious to the goings on.
Sil and Sallah worked quickly. Using the Western Dragons bedding, they created torches. Using rope from their saddlebags, they walked back to the ledge.
Xepher lit the torch easily with a hint of flame. Without another thought Sil tossed the torch over the side, hoping that Dwaggie wasn't directly below. The two riders watched as the pinpoint of light fell down, waitng, watching for it to stop

Down below in the hidden cavern, the dragon sleeps. The only thing that could be heard was the great waterfall that concealed the caves entrance. With the help of the plants, the dragon’s wounds were healing very fast and an incredible rate. Western dragons could heal very fast but, not fast enough. It usually takes a few days to completely recover to the fullest. The healing properties of the plants accelerated the dragon’s natural healing process as he slept. Instead of days, it would take at least one whole day to completely heal him. In his sleep, the dragon could still sense if trouble was approaching.
Unaware that he was being moved, Andrews slept on. As he slept he had a dream. This wasn’t no ordinary dream. He was dreaming about his dragon. As it may seem so. (OOC: The following is his dream. Andrews dream is a telepathic link between Dwaggie and Andrews. Andrews is seeing it through Dwaggie’s eyes as it happened. It starts with a flashback when Dwaggie was pushed off the ledge by the dragon hunter.) Sil and Sallah were captured by the Dragon Hunters. And Andrews didn't know what to do at the moment. Then out of nowhere in the darkness something came on the scene. It was Dwaggie. As soon as he got in to position, one of the hunters picked up a large rock and through it at Dwaggie hitting him on his snout. That made Dwaggie mad but before he could do anything a hunter ran under him and grabbed one of Dwaggie's legs and the dragon fell over the the cave trail and down in to the canyon below… As soon as Dwaggie fell off the edge Andrews screamed. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This can't be happening! DWAGGIE!" …As he fell, the only thing the dragon could see was the side of the canyon spinning all around him, hitting it as he fell. Then he hit the floor below hard. A few rocks fell on him then he was out cold. A few hours later Dwaggie comes to. He gets up and makes his way to the stream, leaving a trail of blood as he went. He followed the stream to a spot which lead to a hidden part of the cavern. At this point he had to walk in the stream before he came to the hidden cavern. Then Andrews awoke up screaming. “He’s alive! My dragon’s alive!” It was almost like Andrews was delirious. As this was going on, Andrews discovered that he wasn’t in Dwaggie’s lair no longer and he cried out. “What? Where am I?” Then he saw Sil tossed a lit torch over the ledge where Dwaggie fell…

Sil and Sallah turned quickly to the suddenly wide awake lad.
"What?" Sallah asked
"MY dragons alive," Andrews repeated again. And Sallah smacked herself on the forhead, duh! She could have used her mind to probe for the dragon's inteligence hours ago. Wow, getting ingaged really could put your head in the clouds. Sallah felt Sil's comforting arms wrap around her.
"Just realized huh?" he whispered gently in her ear. She turned to him, a spark of andger shining in her sea blue eyes.
"Why didn't you remind me?" She cried, attempting to leave his warm enbrace. He only squezed harder.
"Two reasons, one I only just remembered you had the ability. And two, you and I were both in terrible shock, I wasn't sure if you would be able to." Sil replied calmly, moving his hands along her smooth, stragiht back.
He knew just how to manipulate her. And Sallah responded to his deft carresses, even if she didn't want to. Sil planted a gentle kiss on her lips, and showed that shining smile that had attracted her eyes in that first day of class.
"Well, it should be easy to find Dwaggie now," Sallah said, pulling reluctantly away from the embrace. She went to Andrews, picked him up easily, despite her size, and placed him infront of her in Kilodren's saddle. Sil was mounted and the two dragons spread their wings to their widest and jumped off the ledge, using the dropped torch as a guide...
The streets of Dragon City were alive with activity, all dragons were being given platinum, even the youngest. The human's of the city, who were a slightly more resilient lot then other mainstream Dinotopians, dug deep in their closets for old relics. Spears that had been coat hangers, and sword that had lay rusting above the mantle were taken down and sharpened.
The pregnat women, saurians and dragons,as well as young children and eggs, were moved into the inner sanctums of the City. There, in that veritable labrinth of storage rooms, they would hide out during the fighting.
The Sauropods dawned armor usually reserved for the Cross Basin Caravans. People were seen boarding up their windows, and the Skybax resting in the Rookery were sent with riders to all the closest Cities, and were told to ask for help.
The Council was asked if they would move to the Lower City, but all refused. Some of the human members were over 200 years old, and the saurian members even more. But they insisted on being part of the Fortifications. The old Utahraptor was later quoted saying "My kind were created for this kind-o-thing. I'm not going to let a few creaky bones stop me.
And so, Dragon City massed for war.
