IC: I turned to Clubber. "Sorry, this guy just wanted to ask me a question." I noticed the medalion around Clubbers neck. "Wow! Where'd you get that?! Hold that thought for a moment." I turned back to the Stygimoloch. "I've never met him, but me and my friend were going to try getting a job at the company."

"Teah! Like he said!", Clubber chuckled, looking at the Stygimoloch; then he remembered his manners. "Uh,... I am Clubber, and my toothy friend here is Korkoa.", he nodded his spiky head, so Clubber continued.
"We're going on a job interview at the Backbone Shipping Company in Rhumsberg this morning.", he said, wondering where thier food was. "After breakfast, that is!"
Clubber looked in the direction of the kitchen and was about to call the waitress, but remembered the last time he did it and thought better of it. With the size of the orders requested, it would take a long time to prepare them anyway! He only hoped the medallion around his neck was valuable enough to cover the bill...
"Yeah, we never met this Isiah Achbe person, but the poster said we were to see him.", Clubber continued. "Maybe you might know something about him?..."

"Me?" Fiddledee responded, "Oh, I just know he comes in her and my...employer is looking for him. Hiring in Ruhmsburg? Very nice. Good to know. Much thanks. Good luck with job search."
Fiddledee bowed his spike-covered head a few times as he backed away before spinning and departing. Lady Crumplesnoot would be very interested in this. Very interested, indeed.

"Order up!" Isabella shouted, as she left the kitchen, two platters in hand, one covered in green and the other in white, steaming fish. As she placed the dishes on the bar, she noticed that the mismatched pair of saurians she was serving were watching a tail disappear into the crowd. She almost asked "Who was that?" but, realizing she wouldn't understand the saurian answer to the question, she settled for "What did he want?"
The aroma from the steamed marlin was delectable. Her eyes fell on the medallion swinging from the ankylosaur's neck. "Ah!" she exclaimed, "That will do nicely." She held out her hand, palm up, in expectation.

Clubber's mouth hung as he watched the spiky dinosaur up and suddenly leave. And he thought HE had bad manners! He looked at Koroka with a quer grin.
"The way people come and go around here!...", he commented for lack of other words.
Returning his attention to the amulet around his neck that his friend commented on, he continued. "Yeah, isn't this neat? I got it from the Archaeological Guild in Waterfall City. I helped them on a dig once."
Korkoa's interest kept changing from his story to the smells of food wafting around, especially the smell of fish since his sense of smell was evidentally much keener than Clubber's. To keep his attention on things other than food, Clubber kept up the conversation.
"All I did for them was cart them to the site and back when they were done.", his eyes widened because he saw Koroka was drooling a little! "Everyone on the expedition got one, no matter what they did. I wouldn't know an artifact if you hit me in the head with one!"
Suddenly a pair of large steaming plates appeared on the counter behind the bar, and the waitress whisked them away and carried them in thier direction. She set the plates down before them and quickly held out her hand, gazing at the amulet around Clubber's neck.
"Oh, yeah...", Clubber moaned. He slid the amulet down his stumpy neck with a shake of the head and grabbed it with his teeth. He lifted it and set it down on the table with a metallic clatter. "I suppose this should cover everything..."

IC: I had noticed Clubbers eyes widen at the simple sight of a watering mouth! "Don't worry Clubb. I'd never eat something other than fish." I saw my new friend giving away his precious amulet for something as simple as a meal. "Wait! Can't we pay in some other way? I heard a story about two brothers once. The older one sold his most prized possesion, his birthright, to his brother for a meal, and all he got in exchange was a bowl of soup! I don't want Clubber to have to give up his treasure just for some food. I'll work and do anything for as long as it takes to work off the meal."

Clubber heard his friend's sentiments about giving away the amulet, and chuckled before speaking.
"It's OK, Korkoa!... Honestly!", he said. "I promised it to her, and I keep my promises.... Look, it's only an object. Some pretty thing with no real value to me. But if she sees it as valuable, then so be it."
Clubber looked the carnivore in the eye. "Do you know what the real treasure was for me? It was the memory of the whole expedition that I will never forget - that's MY treasure!", the Ankylosaur grinned. "Besides, I still got the certificate that went with it; and that's all I need for proof!"
He smiled as he turned to the waitress. "Now, is this thing worth enough for both our meals?"

OOC: Two notes for thundertail: 1) Try not to control Korkoa's character. 2) It's KorKOa, not KorOKa.
And, c'mon, people! Post! Thundertail and Korkoa are carrying the whole thing!
Another note, I altered one of Fiddledee's lines, above. It'll be helpful, trust me.

"Yes, it'll do quite nicely for payment," she said, as she snatched it. Her expression softened a bit as she looked at the raptor, though. "I've heard such stories myself. There's not much to be done, here, the two of you best be getting on your way if you're going to get to Ruhsmburg. It looks like that spike-head that just left was interested in the job, eh?" She turned, then, to the ankylosaur. "You've got a good friend, here, though. A strange pair, you two make..."
She was touched by the raptor's warmth. Not touched enough to give the medallion back, but still....
"Can I help you fellows with anything else?"

The American was just going to the old man, before he cut in to mention the warrior, and implored Chris to follow. The marine curled his lips, and looked to his side to stare down the road.
He sighed, and though "It won't hurt to be delayed a while longer...it's not like you have anywhere to go, anyhow."
He followed Geoffrey.

OCC: Sorry,... on both counts! I edited my entry(s) to correct the problems.
IC: Clubber, Blackfish tavern
He eyed the steaming platter of greens before him; and even though he was downright starving, Clubber had one more thing he just had to ask. The thing that made him want to know more than ever was the way that spiked little dinosaur fled out of the tavern the moment he mentioned where thier job interview was! There was something fishier than what was on his friend's plate about his future employer, and he had to find out what it was!
"Uh, miss?", Clubber began. "Do you know anything at all about this Isiah Achebe person? It is often smart to know something about ones' future employer!"

OOC: I don't care if he controls Korkoa a little bit. Unless it's against the rules.
IC: I wanted to devour the fish on my plate, but stopped myself for two reasons. One: I wanted to hear about our prospective employer. Two: It could frighten other patrons. So instead, I settled for using a claw to cut little bits at a time, impaling them with my claw, and poping them in my mouth. I nodded my thanks to the waitress, for the food and the compliment.

OOC: It is against the rules. There was nothing too egregious, there, but it's a bad habit to get into and should be avoided.
IC: Isabella Tortoiseback, The Blackfish Tavern
Isabella shrugged. "I know him okay, I guess. He comes in here a lot, him and his little buddy, Bolo. He's successful. Used to be an actor. Travels. His business is doing pretty well. He causes trouble, every now and then, but he's mostly harmless. Mostly."
She started wiping down the counter.

IC:
Zola struggled down the stairs of the tavern from her room upstairs. She knew that she shouldn't keep drinking all those drinks guys bought her, but she just couldn't help it! Now, she was afflicted with the worst headache she had ever experienced. And the medicine cabinent upstairs was fresh out of willow bark. She knew the kitchen had some, so she decided to check there.
In the process of maneuvering around extrordinarily loud patrons - or maybe it was just her head - she slipped behind Isabella, who was conveying in both words and guestures to two saurian patrons about her favorite, Isaiah.
"Don't forget to mention, Isa, that you should watch your wallet around him." She laughed and pushed her way to the kitchen.
Popping her head back out, "Just to let you know, I know I don't work till later, but I was so dumb last night!"
Zola found the willow bark, powdered, and wound her way back out.
"Don't laugh too loud at me, I can hear it upstairs." She nudged her fellow waitress with her hip. The saurians probably didn't care, but a few humans did take note of the Chinese dragon tattoo winding it's way around her lower back.

"I forgot to mention," Isabella said, still talking to the saurians, but speaking louder so that Zola could hear her, "That Isaiah happens to fancy one of our waitresses, too!"
As Zola stumbled out with the willow bark, Isabella called after her. "Get back to bed, love, you look like a Tyrannosaurus' backside."

Zola paused, turned and smiled at Isabella.
"Oh yes, and you look any better after a night like last night! Wait, was I as thought as you drunk I was?" She called back, screwed her face up and waved her hand at her mistake, "Either way, I'm going. If I don't wake up, come and shake me really hard!"
With a nasty hiccup, Zola hurried back towards her room, her bed, and the hopes that this hangover disappeared before nightfall.

IC: Clubber, Blackfish tavern
"Hmmm... Sounds like my kind of people!", Clubber laughed, smiling as he listened to the banter between this waitress and the other one. He noticed Korkoa had already begun his breakfast and decided to dig in as well!
Being a grazer, Clubber's approach to eating wasn't exactly the most delicate of sights; but seeing as this was a relatively classy joint, he took small mouthfuls with his tongue and chewed with purpose. He didn't make so much as a grunt for a full ten minutes as he concentrated on his food, and until there was barely scraps on his plate. It was then that he lifted his boxy head and looked at Korkoa, who was pretty well along with his own meal.
"Say, Korkoa. After breakfast, what do you say we get my cart ready?", Clubber leaned to say.
