IC: Clubber, Blackfish tavern.
It wasn't his best job interview, Clubber thought wistfully as he entered the barn. He never dreamed that having the ability to fight would be a requirement in ANY job! There seemed to be nobody in attendence to show him to his stall this evening, so Clubber made it down to the stable he occupied the other day - and thankfully it was unoccupied.
He nosed the gate open and waddled inside, nearly slamming it closed with his tail as he turned to find a comfortable spot to sleep. Little did Clubber know that this would prove most difficult due to the beating he had gotten at the forelimbs of those ruffian boneheads! It took many moments of moaning trial and error, but Clubber finally laid down; and was just about to close his armored eyes when he noticed Julius trudge down the center aisle of the barn and took a paddock almost directly across from him. Clubber called greetings to him, and Julius merely grunted in exhaustion as he opened his own paddock.
"Say, I was just out at our carts. Nothing got touched, thank the fates!", Clubber told him; and when no acknowledgement came, he continued. "I figure that, since all that stuff happened tonight, it is best to take every security precaution possible!"
He turned away, then back a moment later and noticed that Julius had already drifted off to sleep; and decided to follow suit himself. He didn't know where Korkoa went off to; either he got a room in the tavern proper or he went elsewhere to sleep, but he worried little about this as he could no longer stay awake any longer. Whithin what seemed to be seconds he was snoring and twitching occasionally with his bruises. It was going to be a long, sore day tomorrow!....

Chris looked over the tavern room, and sighed. He couldn't help but feel a little bad for letting his addiction get the better of him, when he could have helped. It didn't bother him for long, though. Everyone did a good enough job without him, and he probably would have just gotten in the way, anyhow. He never was good at cleaning stuff up.
It was getting late, and the dolphinback decided he should get some rest. As everyone was starting to disperse, and head upstairs for the free lodging, Chris left the building to find a peaceful place outside. He was soon fast asleep against the base of a tree.

Demetria McKellips, Blackfish Tavern
Tria watched Jul'althus trudge towards the stalls and decided, after a long, exhausted yawn, that she had best get some sleep, too. Demetria silently walked up the stairs towards the rooms and sighed. She had experienced too much attention today as well as too much human association. Tria hoped that she could get a proper rest that night as she entered an empty room and began tending to her sore hand. Finally, she lay down and soon fell into a deep sleep, wondering what she had gotten herself into.

OCC: Since everyone else is on vacation, I will start the next days' adventure!
IC: Clubber, on the Eastern road leading to the Belt road.
Clubber and the rest of the backbone Shipping Company woke in loose order and began to hitch up to thier carts at the Blackfish tavern. Not much was said about what went on last night, and was probably something everyone wanted to forget!
A bruised and groggy team met Isiah Achebe's eyes as he entered the barn housing many of his employees, and he went on to describe the way to thier next destination. There would be little rest for anyone today; for they were supposed to be on the road already, and they were already nearly a day behind schedule! Once done they all set out along the eastern road that would eventually lead them back to Rhumsburg; but Isiah indicated we would not be going to Rhumsburg this time!
Instead of veering left at the crossroads with the broken and defaced signs, we veered right; and the going went fairly smoothly for Clubber despite the extra provisions obtained at the tavern that he was told he had to carry! We passed very few other travelers along the way, and those we met just stared ast our ragtag group and hurried along the way. As the miles rolled past Clubber's carts' wheels, the Ankylosaur listened to the few words spoken in his cart behind him as well as the conversations going on in the cart in front of him and sighed as he found none of what was spoken concerned him.
Clubber grunted and strained at his harness nearly every step of the way. Within the space of an hour the ground beneath his hoofs turned rocky as it leveled off. At a sudden break in the trees, a tributary of the Jubila river came into view in the valley below. Moods brightened as the forest at last gave way to rolling fields leading into and around the vast farming space below.
The path wound its' way down to a wide but relatively short stone bridge that spanned the river, twin stone arches giving the structure support. In a small knoll of trees, several small shacks were clustered; and evidence of a meager farm was present in the near by valley beyond. It was decided not to disturb these farmers as they trudged along the road beside the small row of buildings...

OOC: Stout appologizes, but with the coming of school, he's been really busy! He'll get back here soon enough! Thanks Thundertail for taking the incentive and getting us on the way! IC: Zola, the Eastern Road
Zola was up early and met some of the others in the tavern, which had been swept and made clean. She snuck into the kitchen, and packed a few baskets of extra food. She slipped back out with a tray of fresh rolls for the humans. The stable hands had already changed the staw in the barn and given the tenants fresh hay.
Her heart broke when she saw Isaiah come downstairs, his face bruised, and he walked with a bad limp. Tria came down after, looking worn out, obviously up late with Isaiah and anyone else who had called for her help.
Slowly the employees of the Backbone Shipping Company assembled, all looking worse for wear. Clubber was shackled into his harness, and the motley crew of human and saurian set off.

OCC: Is this RP dead?... Clubber so much wants to be on his way! I know RL has most busy as all get out, but I've been cooking up several possibilities for here (All good! Funny as well as dramatic!). I'm just waiting for the others to post so the show can get on the road - so to speak (LOL!)!

OOC: Funny you should post just this morning, thundertail, because HOLY CRAP I RETURN!
Basically, the stress of RL and frustration with lack of player participation made me ice this RP for a while. I'd like to continue it, but only if people were interested in continuing, so...there are a number of options.
1) We continue. Players return and participate, and those that don't return get written out. 2) We reboot. 3) We put this RP on ice, and all quietly go about our own business...
Any thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

OCC: I'd like to continue where we left off! Either on the road like my post or back at the Blackfish - either way! I don't know about rebooting (That like starting over? ), but at least we all know how it's supposed to go! ;D We need our participants back, and for a better story we need NEW PARTICIPANTS! This is a GREAT RPG, and a shame to give it the heave-ho!

OOC: Well, sound the alarm, then. I'd be delighted to continue. I'll send the proper IMs and PMs, I guess.
To all players: If you see this thread before I send you a PM, just OOC a check-in message so I know you're still aboard.

OCC: Has anyone seen the post by Stout about this RP on the OMB? If so, anybody interested in returning? (I am! LOL!) Veteran posters, please come back; and it'd be fun if you bring your friends! I think we should get newer players as well as the old - the more the merrier! Reboot the story? I dunno... Maybe the story would come out differently. (I did likewise when I posted my RP in Dragon RP , the Outer Island and here - all three are going to be so different from each other! I'll even let the story go where it wants to this time!)
