There's no character limit! The more characters the more fun! Just try to refrain from a complete clone army, in the Dinotopia RP anyway.

What? I can't play Minstelae and Minstelae and Minstelae and Minstelae and... what's up with that?

Well its the 1800's, they don't have the technology to clone anything yet. I think you could go so far as have twins or triplets (More for saurians who lay more eggs???) but you don't have access to an instant 'only add water, make your own clone army in ten minutes'-kit. Besides, the Island has so many raptors, the chocolate production is having trouble keeping up as it is. The last thing it needs is them being able to clone themselves or suddenly start breeding through binary fission like in Evolution the movie. I love that movie. THE shoplifter treatment, mwahahahaha.

Well, S'leen and Jaynit are packmates of mine, and they are identical twins. But it's completely natural - they hatched from the same egg. *grins*
Lol, I was kidding, btw. I wasn't really planning on having clones.

Vira had twins pop out of one egg in a story one time... I wonder if its possible, has anyone ever heard of a bird or reptile eggs hatching two living and surving young?

Yes, it happens. You know how when you sometimes crack an egg and it has two yolks in it? That, if fertilized, would probably be twins. It's very rare, but it does happen.

Is there a limit to what time period the RPG has to be in?

I wouldn't think there would be. There's no rule saying it has to be in the book's period, so just try whatever you had in mind. If you want to play in someone else's role-playing thread, though, I think you would have to adjust to the time period they set.

Sounds good. I was mainly concerned about if the time period was during the age of Poseidos in the book 'First Flight' because of all the technology in it.

We've mostly done RPs during the Land apart from time book, but one during Poseidos would be great! I wouldn't know anything about it, though, since I haven't read first flight yet.

That would be interesting, but I haven't had a chance to get that book yet, either, and wouldn't quite know everything needed to know.

That's ok. i can wait awhile if need be. I'l probably look around a little to see what all has been going on, then decide on whether or not to join in the fun.

Name: Joseph Patrick Hallaway, III Nickname: "Croco" Species: Human Gender: Male Age: 24 Height: 6 feet, 2 inches Weight: 205 pounds Eye Color: Green Hair Color: Light brown Notable Marks/Scars/Etc.: Scar under his left eye that runs the length of the eye; there are many less noticeable scars on his face as well.
Generation: Dolphinback Place of Origin: New York, USA Method of Arrival: Plane crash, was the lone survivor (Edit: If we're going on book time, then he'll be shipwrecked like everyone else. Either way, he was the lone survivor)
Location: Canyon City Profession: Skybax Rider, rider of Speedwing Hobbies: Swimming, exploring, reading, playing a native Dinotopian guitar that he learned in Treetown Languages: Fluent in English, Dinotopian, basic Saurian and basic Pterosaurian; knows bits of basic Carnosaurian and basic Ceratopsian
Personality: Joseph, or Croco as he's better known as, has always been known as a down to earth individual, always there to help someone in need. Being a younger Skybax Rider, he sometimes comes off as being a little cocky and arrogant, but that's the nature of his chosen craft as he has come to accept it. He greets everyone he comes across with a wave and a smile as he makes his rounds over the entire Dinotopian island on the wings of his trusted mount.
Name: Speedwing Nickname: "Speedy" Species: Quetzalcoatlus skybax Gender: Male Age: Unknown Wingspan: 42 feet Height: approx. 12 feet Weight: 280 pounds Eye Color: Light orange Body Color: Tan w/purple, green and red markings on his wings; red and white crest w/black stripe through the middle Notable Marks/Scars/Etc.: None
Location: Canyon City or wherever his rider is located Hobbies: Meeting new creatures, aerial acrobatics Languages: Fluent in Skybax and basic Pterosaurian
Other: Speedwing was considered a rogue by officials of the Skybax Corps after several incidents in which he tried to throw his rider by flying upside-down for several minutes at a time. He eventually won over the trust of Croco Hallaway and has remained at his side, though he is still regarded as problematic. He will fiercely defend his rider and when he feels that he is in danger...or when he is overwhelmed by his surroundings...he will rear up, flap his wings and/or screech very loudly. Other than that, he is just your typical Skybax. < 'v' >
