Planting Seeds....

Question 2: I've thought long and hard about this and was wondering if Dolphinbacks would bury one seed (a tree seed or a plant seed, etc.) in the grond to signify their new life on Dinotopia? It seems like something the Dinotpians would do.
Question 3: Relating to the question above, when a child (dinosaur or human) is born on Dinotopia, would their parents plant a seed for them? Then, when the children grow up and 'crack through their shell' (or whatever it was called, I don't have the book in front of me), would the child plant another seed?

and dolphinbacks may want to choose their own plant that reflects their personality as they grow up. Certainly I'd say check with James Gurney and the Habitat Partners to make sure you don't get too many of the wrong plant in the wrong area- you wouldn't want Redwood trees from Treetown being planted too near the Desert or Savanna - loving plants dying in the Marsh. You wouldn't get people or saurians who knew Dinotopia doing this but you might get new people making mistakes because seedlings really do look different from the real thing, and trees need a lot of space.Like with that Dolphinback Botanist who brought his own version of the Trilobur in and planted enough to threaten the original (River Quest)

I'll write Mr. Gurney about it and let you all know what he says. Hey, I heard he vists here sometimes. Maybe, if he does, he'll see my question and can answer? ^_^ That'd be cool.
Oh well, still mailing him just in case. Hehehe.
