I desided to move the topic from the OMB to here.
I know we can't catch colds or the ’flu from dogs and cats.
I was wondering on Dinotopia if you can catch one
from a dinosaur?
I had a dog for years before I moved and,
the dog was always in my face especially,
when your trying to sleep at night.
I've have never caught a cold or the 'flu
from him when he had it. I heard the vet say
the cold/'flu virus isn't the same as human cold/'flu
virus.
I'm just curious.

I don't think we can. The reason that we can catch colds from cats and dogs is because we've been together for so long that apparently, species-specific viruses can skip from cats and dogs to humans.
I don't know how long humans have been in contact with Dinosaurs in Dinotopia. However, I think that even prolonged contact wouldn't produce cross-species viruses. I think the biological differences are too great.
Of course, this is only a semi-informed opinion. You might want to bring it up at the ToP so that Vorchia can take a whack at it.
Also, I checked your site again. I like the look. However, I think it's a little too techno for the theme. I don't mean to be even more of a critic, but I think something medieval would look better.

How about that growing pandemic of chicken flu that's in Asia and is just aiting to come to the USA and destroy our lives? That's a flue going from chickens/birds to people. Some theories say dinosaurs were more like birds than reptiles, so maybe it would be possible to get sick from a saurian.
Remember in The Maze where the one dude got sick from a bug that bit his dinosaur friend first and then him? There's an illness going from saurian to human!
