So what is everyones favorite type of music? How about peoples favorite bands?
My favorite bands in no particular order are:
-Coldplay -Madonna -U2 -REM -Morrissey -They Might Be Giants -Scissor Sisters -Kraftwerk -The White Stripes -The Raveonettes And about 150 more, but I don't have the patience or time to type them all out....
I'm really into Britpop (Oasis, Travis, Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, etc...)
I like a vast amount of Alternative, Indie, and Rock music... though I'm not big on heavy metal
I hate Pop & Rap, though Madonna kicks-*chocolate*
And that's about it...

Well I like a large variety of music inlcuding classical music like Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky though I can never seem to actually remember which music goes which wchich name upon hearing it... Then I like Celtic music like Enya's and such, which I play all the time. Az could probably give you more names, I'm kind of bad at remembering them all. I also like Robbie Williams, Abba, Savage Garden, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, Elton John and some more that I forgot. I used to like the Backstreet Boys but I recovered fully. I can listen to almost anything, just not the really loud hardcore and Celine Dion... Her music is too sickeningly romantic. You do get used to having to listen to all sorts of music you don't necessarily love when everyone at home, work and school has different ideas about 'good music'

When it comes to music, it's usually what I hear on the radio. I can't say what I like most. However, I can say that I like hip hop and country the least. I tend to tune in to the local oldies station more than others, though.
As for CDs, it's a mixture of classical music and movie soundtracks. I'm not talking about crummy pop albums that accompany movies. I'm talking about the orchestral music.

Evanescence and alternative/rock music, mostly, although I do like a large variety of things, and will listen to anything, if it's good. ;D

Key words "If it's good." There's some music out there thats so bland I fail to comprehend how it becomes popular...

Bad Religion Dropkick Murphys Flogging Molly Great Big Sea The Offspring The Pogues Rammstein Pennywise Aerosmith and lots and lots of bagpipe and didjeridu music as well! Can't get enough of the last two; I especially get into the didjeridu music when I'm working on my primitive tools and weapons...just makes me feel that much more primitive while doing it. My dad always says that it's because I was born late, as in a few thousand years too late. Scary thing is, he's probably right. I mean, it would explain a lot... ;D

I like the Classic Rock of the 70's and 80's and some oldies from the 60's. I also like country music. And I like classic Christian Rock and todays Christian Rock, mostly the hard stuff.
I also so like folk music that you hear on shortwave radio. Especially, salsa and reggae music. And I like Smooth Jazz Especially, late at night. I'm not too crazy with the Brit pop.
And I also like listing to the Old Time Radio Shows that they had in the 30's, 40s' and 50s'. ;D

Oh, I looooove Irish. And 'world' or 'New age' Favorite bands/singers? Enya Loreena McKennit Secret Garden Clannad Moya/Maire Brennan (it's spelled Maire, but pronounced Moya) Aoiffe Vangelis Thomas Otten (just the first CD, not the second) Phil Coulter Mave (pronounced NEE-av) Soundtracks (Spirit, LOTR, Quest for Camelot, just about any bad guys song) Stuff in that genre because I'm cool. Tehe=) I listen to just about anything though, as long as there is no saxaphone or clarinet because both annoy me to no end when played in a jazzy manner.

A style for all of my 100,000,000 different moods. So i'll basically listen to anything but country music
