Husband and wife discover they are siblings August 06 2005 at 04:26PM Phnom Penh - A Cambodian man's joy turned to dismay after he discovered that his long-lost mother, who had survived the bloody Khmer Rouge regime, is also the mother of his wife. Tep Song, 35, and his wife Tep Ly, 38, had been removed from their village in the southern province of Svay Rieng and separated by Khmer Rouge troops in 1975 when they were five and eight, respectively. Oh yes, very Star Wars ish........ LOL But still, those poor people! Did they never talk about their families? I mean I talk about my family all the time and if I were to meet someone they'd find out about my family members within the week then they could recognise them... Sure if you're in a relationship you might end up discussing your childhood memories and recognise the situation??? Very odd.

But seriously, in Episode IV, long before you knew that Luke and Leia were brother and sister, what did you think might happen as part of the logical movie plot? The hero saves the princess and they fall in love and live happily ever after and all that stuff.
But anyway, aside from my comparison to Star Wars, this would be really creepy, but it brings up a question, what should they do now? Should they stay together but make sure they don't have more children? What exactly should people do in this sort of circumstance?

I watched the old SW movies knowing they were siblings. That did effectively ruin the Luke and Leia thing of course. I really have NO idea what they should do.

I must say that I pity them, though.
