I got this over e-mail.
----------------------------------------
Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you. Personally I would like to know who came up with this and why that person is not running the country.
1. Grab a calculator. (You wont be able to do this in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last four numbers of your phone number
7. Add the last four numbers of your phone number again
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2
Do you recognize the answer?
------------------------------------------
Neat, huh?

Huh? *scratches head* Works fine for me. I've done it twice already... Hmm, I'll do it right here with my old workplace number. The number is 596-8227. 1. Grab a calculator. (You wont be able to do this in your head) -- Okie dokie. 2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code) -- 596. Got it. 3. Multiply by 80 -- 596 * 80 = 47680 4. Add 1 -- 47680 + 1 = 47681 5. Multiply by 250 -- 47681 * 250 = 11920250 6. Add the last four numbers of your phone number -- 11920250 + 8227 = 11928477 7. Add the last four numbers of your phone number again -- 11928477 + 8227 = 11936704 8. Subtract 250 -- 11936704 - 250 = 11936454 9. Divide number by 2 -- 11936454 / 2 = 5968227 Do you recognize the answer? -- Yup! Don't know what the rest of you are doing... - Aric

It worked for me! Now, if he was using something like a TI-83, then the order of operations would screw it all up if it wasn't done step by step. That whole thing is really cool though=) I dispise mathmaticians and people who can do that sort of thing in their heads... Gr.
