Actually, there are book I got from last year's book sale that I haven't even touched yet.
I get them because they're hardcover. It's usually out of print and difficult to find.
That's how I got Harry Harrison's West of Eden trilogy in hardcover. I already had it in paperback, but wanted it in a more durable form.

. I already had it in paperback, but wanted it in a more durable form. - Aric Wha?! I dislike hardback books because they're heavy and take up too much space. I far prefer paperbacks. I miss reading and goign to booksales and all that fun stuff. I hate work and school. Glad you got some good loot at the sale, Aric! Narnia is a great series! Got to check them out;)

I can't check out Narnia because the library simply doesn't HAVE it... I really wish they'd just burn a few of those 13 in a dozen sex, drugs and rock & roll novels to make some space for real books. I seem to have lost my copy of ROTK. That means I'll be looking for 'The Two Towers' and 'Return of the King' whenever I may end up at the second hand bookstore. Amusingly enough I found a purple pixie stick straw in my copy of The Silmarillion. I've been watching the movie of ROTK, special extended edition. It makes me wonder why I let the disapproval of my family influence my drawing so much, or rather why I let it KEEP me from drawing. They're ok if I draw something 'realistic' but dinosaurs (or anthro Azzy in a hula skirt) or Celtic knots, oh nooooo thats not good, you can never make dollars of that, nooooo. Paperbacks ARE great! They're cheap! I don't have a lot of money.

Harcovers are more dignified. ;D I miss reading and goign to booksales and all that fun stuff. I hate work and school. Glad you got some good loot at the sale, Aric! Yeah, they hold these book sales every year. I've collected some nice hardcovers over the years. Narnia is a great series! Got to check them out;) Maybe I'll watch the movie first then I'll check out the books. I saw LOTR on screen first. Then I read FOTR. Didn't like the book. Kinda boring... I finished FOTR and read the first few dozen pages of Silmarrilion. - Aric

I can't check out Narnia because the library simply doesn't HAVE it... I really wish they'd just burn a few of those 13 in a dozen sex, drugs and rock & roll novels to make some space for real books. I heard of Narnia a few times over the years. Not really interested in fantasy enough to look it up. Maybe the movie will change my mind. I seem to have lost my copy of ROTK. That means I'll be looking for 'The Two Towers' and 'Return of the King' whenever I may end up at the second hand bookstore. Amusingly enough I found a purple pixie stick straw in my copy of The Silmarillion. Heh. I found a Martha Steward pamphlet in one of the used books I bought. LOL! I posted some of the contents on the OMB a while ago. Had to do with herbal remedies and aroma therapy. My suggestion of doing a nude self-portrait is still there. ;D That'll show your parents! Mwahahahaha! Paperbacks ARE great! They're cheap! I don't have a lot of money. ZOMG! What is this irrational prejudice against hardcovers. Woe is me! Anyway, at the book sale, none of the hardcovers were more than four bucks. Most of them were in good shape. So, expense really wasn't an issue for me. - Aric

There will be no freaking nude protraits of me!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Actually, all pictures of Vorchia out there are technically nudes as non anthromorphic saurians don't wear clothing, happy now? ;D
And the paperback thing isn't irrational, it saves space and money! Besides, that way there are more hardcovers available for people like YOU.

Wow, if you read all of those then i bow down to you! I love to read and if I lived in my own place, I would be buying even more books then I do right now. Mostly i am forced to borrow from the library but occasionally i say screw the space issue and buy one anyway. Most recently I bought the new Harry Potter book. Loved it! Anyhow, I have read a few of the books that you mentioned and heard of others. I'll have to keep you apprised of any new books that i read and if you have any good recommendations, I like to hear them. Happy reading!
