Writing contest: If you like writing, this is your contest. The writing contest is for every kind of written art, fanfiction, poetry, songs, music, stories, haikus, plays, jokes, riddles, etc. Once again you can submit your entry by posting it in this thread, with any artist's comments. You're free to submit as many works as you wish and there is no limit on the length of your written art. The rules are the same for all the contests, all pieces of art must be within the limits of common sense, aka, nothing highly rated (PG13 is the maximum), no cursing, no porn and no breaking the code. The deadline has yet to be established but will probably be in February. There will be voting here and at the OMB in March, I think its easiest if everyone by that time just uses the three point system, which means you give 3 points to your winner, 2 to the second and one to the third best in each category. This should produce fair results... The winners shall have eternal glory and recognition as an artist at the T of P. I, as a hopeless book(scroll?)worm, can't wait to see the newest Dinotopia literature scrolls. BDSP Vorchia

So it doesn't have to be Dinotopia-related, but can be... or can be at least dinosaur-related? And if I write a story, how long can it be? Hehe... more questions from the curious raptor...

As long as you don't dump a 100 pager into my mailbox on the day before the deadline, you're welcome to write as much as you like. And NO, thats not an invitation to dump a 100+ pager into my mailbox the day before the deadline. ;D It has to be Dinotopia related or at least Dinotopia inspired, I'm not sure where to draw the line precisely. How's about you just submit your art and we'll see what everyone thinks of it?

Okay. As long as it has to do with dinosaurs. That makes me happy. And I don't plan on dumping a 100-pager into your e-mail (or here) the night before the deadline. I want to start writing now... and once I get going, I tend to finish fast, as long as I don't get bored with it and move on to something else.

This works out well for me. I already have a couple ideas on dinosaur reltated poems to write. I may write a short story on Dinotopia or an adventure during the Jurrassic period. Thanks for making this writing contest Vorchia. *nuzzles*
Just one question. How many entries are we allowed to submit?

Hehe, I've started, and it's fun. Nice to have an excuse to write a story again.

*grins and nods to self* No 100 pager in mailbox day before deadline.... Be sure to submit it two days before the deadline! ;D I'm evil I'll see if I get anything written. I really want to finish Second Hindsight though, so we'll see what happens.
