~ Live on positively. ~
One of the biggest secrets to living a happy life is to accept oneself completely, to know one’s inner core and live up to what one truly believes in himself or herself; and to own up to all their flaws as well as their attributes, for only then can they live on in their lives in a true and positive manner. It is also wise not to believe everything that people tell you is true, for their motives are focused mainly on what they wish of others; and not to be influenced by others contrary to what you believe is true, and this is for much the same reason. It is important to focus on positivity rather than negativity, for optimism in life can lead to a happy life; and to keep an open heart so that all good things can enter in, and leave behind any gloomy thought that might pass through your head. If you believe in the lies that constantly batter at you, you will surely poison your soul; for lies and other mischief are destroying the world, and it is prudent not to see one’s own self destroyed along with it. It is not often easy to avoid negative feelings completely for these are also within our sphere of emotions to feel as well, but if one’s spirit is strong then one can resist the temptation of reacting to them; for even though we dive into our feelings once in a while, we must learn to first tread water before we can swim in them. How you deal with negative feelings determines whether you put yourself down or accept that bad things happen, but accepting them and then moving on is the best alternative; for it’s the way you understand the negative feelings that can teach you to move on happily to a much better life…

~ Just another sign of the times. ~
I see all over the things that shape the situation the world has found itself in, and the two things that stand out among all of life’s problems is war and the devaluation of world economy; for in obvious cases these things are what the media these days can not help but cover, and with due respect as these things are among the biggest things that has an impact on today’s society. War seems to be a way that nations tell other nations that they are fed up with the way things are being done in their country, a violent result of all the world’s anger; and the devaluation of all the nation’s economies are the result of the implosion of world economy, brought about by the greed of the businesses currently existing today. Both bring lowered standards of living to the countries that experience these things, and sadly it is a sign of the times that these things have to be brought about; but it is all due to our own negligence in the way we run our affairs, and all of us are to blame for allowing it to happen. Changes also happen closer to home as a result, for prices of even the basic things force some folks to live back with their parents or other relatives just to survive the skyrocketing economy; and some cases show that even this strategy does not work very well as things just keep on growing more and more expensive, and these people are forced to take other means in order to insure simple survival. With everyone so short of money and the way things keep on growing more expensive, pretty soon no one will be able to survive, for only the super rich will have the money and everyone else will have nothing; and it is going to get worse if we do not take measures to stop it, to put on the brakes in this runaway economy as we are approaching a slippery slope. Never the less, People are figuring out ways as we speak to cope with this world we have made for ourselves; reverting back to the lifestyles our forbearers once enjoyed, and seeing the value of the family once again. It is healthy to return to the family ties we once enjoyed of yesteryear, but a shame that we have to do it out of necessity like we seem to need; for if this world expanded in a natural way, then all these problems the world faces at our hand would be greatly lessened…

~ Why do people kill? ~
People kill for numerous amounts of reasons, reasons to them that are sound and rational; but these motives are derived from the basic, non-civilized motives rooted deep in our past. One motive may be revenge, a thing from the past where it is perceived that a wrong is done to this person; and even though this person chooses not to believe it, the reason for this revenge is often unfounded. Usually, when someone kills out of vengeance; they do not think clearly, resulting in the instant decision to kill based on anger. If this person has any regret for his actions, it is usually felt long after the deed is done; but of course, by the time this happens it is far too late. Even though most vengeful killings are not predetermined or thought through, some killings are; just how the killer is going to do it being planned for days and months and years. I guess vengeance is only one of the many motives people have for killing another human being, but no matter the motive someone has for taking another human life, all these reasons are sick and the people that do are even sicker! These sociopaths need help, and they need it long before they perform the deeds so ingrained in their hearts; for these people, among many other similar minded people are the ones that prevent the rest of us from living a safe and happy life…

~ The transmission of wisdom. ~
Wisdom as well as plain facts can come from anywhere, but if we wish these things to tell us their justness and how they should be true; we must learn to listen to them in a very specific way, a way that can mostly be described as ‘attentive’. We must learn to listen to it silently, listening with all one’s will focused on what is being said; and we should never interfere with the speaker not even to question them until the end, and be receptive and patient to the speaker if only out of courtesy. All who listen to wisdom or fact should be respectful of the subject matter being offered, and be courteous to the speaker imparting his wisdom; for both the speaker as well as the information being spoken is of a vein much more reverent than you, and you would expect the same amount of courtesy when it is your turn to speak. Deep understanding of wisdom and facts combines a breadth of intellectual knowledge with the depth of emotional and spiritual knowledge, and is the intuitive knowledge that involves perspective and identity; and more often than not it conveys itself as non-verbal facts and Non-intellectual wisdom, perceived by senses outside the physical senses...

~ Survival of the wisest. ~
It doesn’t really matter who a person thinks he is or who he knows, what he does in life or what ambitions he has; a person is not really doing their best unless they have wisdom to back himself up, for only in wisdom can that person truly find success. It doesn’t matter what a man can do to come out on top, all it matters is if he thinks through things and decides whether or not he SHOULD do those things; for the actions he takes surely will have it’s own repercussions and consequences down the line, events that would no doubt be either bad or good for this person. I believe I have said similar things many times in this thread, and I say it because it is so true; that one needs to be careful of the actions one takes in life, as the things people do have an effect that can and will come back on the perpetrator of these deeds. Many say it is wise to wait and see while others tell you to forge ahead, and still others say to respect those in charge while others tell you to question authority; but the most important thing to do is to do what one thinks is best, and not necessarily do what others would have you do. The only way to survive your own life is to do what you really think is best for you, but only do things that you are sure has the least troublesome effects on the environment around you; and to never let bad things happen if you can remotely help it, for these things will insure you a peaceful and happy life - if you’re lucky!…

~ Life and death. ~
People generally go about in life with a serious air, forging ahead with a determination for their own goals and their own affairs; treating these things like they were the most important thing in the world, both for themselves as well as others. To them there is nothing more important than the things they are working on right at this moment, and put all their effort into these things; and scoff at others for doing their own things over the things the first is doing, for their things to them are more important than the things others are doing. They try so hard that they are physically and emotionally crushed when the thing they are working on somehow turns out wrong for them, and think it is the end of the world when they fail; for all their effort and determination turned out to be for naught, and they are at a loss as to what to do about it. The trick to this is when you fail, pull yourself up and try again; for it is simple as that, for all the moaning in the world at your failure is never going to make it right. One must examine one’s failures to see what it was that made it turn out wrong, which is true; but getting upset about it is never going to solve anything, and the logical thing to do is finding out why it failed. When doing things in life one must remember that the things you do is not a matter of life and death, for we always get a second chance; and it is only due to our ego that we are upset at our failures, for we are only human and humans make mistakes sometimes…

~Forging ahead. ~
In the course of living one’s life there are things that need to be taken care of, mundane everyday things that need to be done in order for your life to go smoothly; and if it weren’t for these things - life’s little details, then it would be impossible for anyone to maintain a life that is considered normal. It doesn’t matter if these deeds are large or small or important or seem worthless ay first, they are necessary no matter how you slice it; and even though the completion of these tasks doesn’t get you very far at first glance, they prove to be little steps of progress that make up a person’s life. The truth of the matter is can be summed up like this, that even though one raindrop doesn’t amount to much; the many raindrops in a storm can fill up any container, and that’s all that matters to the storm. So if you think that what you do doesn’t matter very much, even the smallest of your tasks means something no matter how small; and even though the tasks you do are many but small, the moist important thing is to keep on forging ahead - you’ll make it sooner or later!…

~Strategies of the mind. ~
There are many methods of logical thought that man can use to decipher their problems, and the two main means we usually accomplish this is through knowledge and wisdom; even though logical deduction and intuition have a hand in the thought process, most of our major problems are solved with the former means. All these types of thought are essential to thinking, and we need to understand and develop these methods in order to think with our total being; and to do this we need to develop a double-pronged strategy to make it all come about, and allow us to think in a dynamic way. In one prong we must go out and acquire relevant intellectual knowledge, which provides for us evidence needed to deduce actual fact; and the other prong is to go inward and find intuitive self-knowledge, which provides serenity and calmness needed to think clearly. If we assume that we have finally managed to attain a clarity about the nature and extent and clarity of both the problem at hand and the resolution we have had about solving the problem, we would still have those troublesome feelings of doubt that are threatening to deflect our progressive movement from ignorance to enlightenment. Once again wisdom can find the way, separating the basic need to learn things of the physical world from the needs of the psyche to learn it, for the drives that compelled us on to learn what we learned had overwhelmed our need to learn it in the first place; and this brought our megalomaniacal drive to become better than the rest by placing it into the realm of the needless aspects of the psychodrama into a higher developmental level…

~ Motivation with a passion. ~
When a person goes out in life to do a task, they find things to do that others might find useful and equitable; but it doesn’t matter what the world needs of you, for if the things you are capable of is the thing you feel passionate about, there is no real need to worry about whether or not it could be helpful to others. When going out to choose the career that you want, do not ask yourself what the world needs of you; for all it really matters is that you choose a task that makes your spirit come alive, and it’s important that you make sure to pursue that passion. The world does not really need people that would do the tasks it wishes to do, things that merely keeps the status-quo alive; what it really needs is people with new ideas and new enthusiasm, people who are able to change the world for the better - not those that only keep what’s going on right now perpetually active. Attack everything you do with enthusiasm and creativity, and arm yourselves with the ammunition of the knowledge you will need; for your enthusiastic creativity is a lighted match to the fuse of a grand fireworks display of change!…

~ Learning and leadership. ~
It is a known fact about people today that many are competitive in business, always wanting to be the one on top and one making the most money and the most success; and to this end more and more young people are striving to gain specialized education for fields that would lead them to these ends, and curriculums that will eventually make them leaders in these fields. I find it appalling if not surprising that the focus on learning has been extended into a whole industry of creating young business tycoons, for what is really needed these days is workers who will do the tasks necessary in society; and not necessarily the ones who manage them, for there are already enough of those around who meddle with progress the way they do. We must ask ourselves what we are teaching our youngsters these days, for it is certainly not productivity; for when all we are producing out of the school systems is higher echelon leaders instead of the workers necessary to get the job done, for progress depends on the work done and not the ones pulling the strings. This development had no doubt coincided with the increasingly widespread of the computer age, and this caused massive changes in the way most companies do business; and the information currently available from this media is corrupting the workspaces of every business in the world, causing their management to think administration is more important than actual goods and services. Even though I agree that the common workforce in general needs management to steer it in the right direction, I think that the managerial personnel are managing their workers too well; and their decisions good and bad have a detrimental effect in the efficiency of their workers, who know their jobs already and maybe a little better than their bosses…

~ The negativity of mistakes fooling our progress. ~
It is easy to have bad feelings about the things we have done wrong in the past because, let’s face it; making mistakes are not exactly the best experiences in the world, and they would naturally make you feel sad upon making them! The same can be said about all the other sad experiences one has, but it is much more therapeutic to look upon the mistakes one has had as little bits of experience; and that all experiences both good and bad all come together to make us the way we are today, they are all cumulative events that has helped us to grow as persons. Our past is a series of lessons that advance us to higher levels of being a person, and the things we did taught us necessary lessons in life; and some were most painful while others were rather pleasant, but all in all these things only made us stronger persons for their experience. There is no shame for mistakes for they are necessary, and so were the frustrations and failures; for these were stumbling attempts of growth and progress, and each step of the way we learned a lesson. We went through exactly the experiences we were supposed to, events that helped us to become who we are today; so there is no shame in making mistakes, for anything we experience that doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger…

~ The inner kingdom. ~
Some say that a home is anywhere you can hang your hat, but a real home can not be made in any one place in the physical sense; for a person’s true home is one he makes within himself, a place where none can enter and a place where he is the master. A place where no one can rob him of happiness or any other thing he may hold dear, a place where he can furnish it with any kind of memory he wants; and fortify it with any type of information he chooses to have there, for in his mind is where his home is his true castle. Here he can populate it with friends that will not let him down, and protect them from all of life’s troubles; in a land free from strife from the outside full of abundance and plenty of space, for in his mind he can create his own kingdom. It is a place that can travel with him anywhere he goes in the real world, and a place he can return to whenever he pleases; for it is a movable realm, free to come and go with him as he goes. It is not like the places he goes to in the real world, for here his sense of value rules over it like a good king; and his virtuosity of himself governs the laws here like the bastions of rigid religion, creating a land of peace and plenty that only he can enjoy in life…

~ Organization of the factions. ~
In life there are subtle forces at work that are determined to rule the lives of all people, and the simplest way to boil them down is to call them the forces of good and evil; concepts deduced by the way things play on the outcome of people’s lives, and written about in countless religious tomes. These forces are out there and they are real, forces that we deny or simply ignore; and yet these forces have a hold of us one way or another, and dictate the way we conduct ourselves. It seems today that the force we would call evil wins out more often than not, and that is because the force of evil is ingrained in all mankind; driven by the baser needs ingrained in every person on earth, and it has organized itself by asserting that it is the only way to live one’s life. There is no real reason why good can not organize itself and ingrain itself into the psyche of man, for all it takes is for man to finally realize that being good is a lot more beneficial than being bad; and to do good things to others can also result in receiving good things from others, but that is if the forces of good were as organized as the forces of evil. In my thinking, since the force of evil is so strong and organized the way it is; then the force of good should be equally organized, like the organization found in the United States Marines!…

~ Serenity conquers strife. ~
I have seen that in everyone’s life there are problems that seem insufferable and hopeless, when you are at a loss or when you’re unhappy or lonely or just in need of a rest bit from life’s troubles; but in a person’s everyday life, there is no place to find solace - no place for comfort. Sometimes it is best to just be alone, away from others that might just be out to harm you; a place where you can be free in a place silent from the din of humanity, a quiet place where you can sit and hear yourself think. The best place to go is a place where mankind first lived, a place primeval and pristine away from civilization; and this place everyone knows as the wilderness, alone in the space of Nature’s vastness. A lush forest where one can get lost in thought, alone save for the gurgling sweetness of nature’s sounds; whose silent serenity lulls a person into relaxing modes of thought. By a stream is always nice, listening to the aquatic music and seeing the serene water rush by; and near a sea shore where a person seems small in the swells, compelling one to think humble thoughts as sea breezes clear the head. These quiet places slow the mind and soothe the thought, making the troubling thoughts of civilized life slowly fade away; and make the moods you’re in become mellow and serene, creating an ambiance that conquers all your strife…

~ The progress of perfection. ~
It may not seem so, but every single day you can make a little progress on the road to perfection; fine tuning who you are and perfecting everything around you, but unfortunately most people do not realize this. Every step you take can and usually becomes fruitful one way or another, but that great step stretches your path as the progress you made bids you to do better; for you see the progress you made makes your expectation of yourself greater, and this makes the path all the more difficult. This ever widening, ever ascending path of improvement may seem too difficult and discouraging at first; but the joy at each improvement and achievement is well worth the journey, and soon you see the proud feeling and the glory of the climb…
