Okay, so the Fourth of July, AKA Independence Day for Americans, is almost over. However, I just wanted to know who your favorite Founding Father was.
Mine is Benjamin Franklin. I was a famous scientist, a good diplomat, an inventor, the only FF (I think) to be officially part of an abolitionist movement, and all round cool guy. In fact, I agree with all those authors who call him the most modern American. He was a business man (not a plantation owner like a lot of other FFs), a scientist/skeptic, and some elements of his personal philosophy is similar to pragmatism.
Anyway, who's your favorite Founding Father and why?

George Washington for having the guts to step up first to the plate. He had no precedent to foloow or learn from but he doesn't seem to have done such a bad job.

Thomas Jefferson for his brilliant writing style. Heck, you have to admire all of the founding fathers for going against the largest power in the world at the time and battling for their freedom. That would be like some little town in Africa overthrowing us!

All the brave soldiers of the continental army, who fought for the liberty of the colonies. (Also, I might as well give a little credit to the French and Prussians for helping.)
