Here's yet another idea that was floating around my head, so I decided to see if anyone wanted to join in with me.
Rules for the RP:
1: No cussing, swearing, etc. 2: No killing and/or eating anyone without their permission. 3: No magic. (Just covering this base here.)
I'm not gonna make a character introduction thread for this RP, so just put your info and description into your first post. Enjoy!

(OOC: If you have any questions, PM me!)
“Look, Sandra, I see land!” the emaciated man called out, hoarsely. The 28-year-old had been tirelessly searching the vast horizon for days for any sign of land. Since their airplane had stalled and crashed into the sea almost three weeks ago, Tim Braeburn, his wife Sandra, and their infant daughter, Allison, had been set adrift in the cramped rescue raft. For a while, they were optimistic. They had enough supplies to last them a week and a half, signaling devices of different sorts, a GPS/tracking device, a med kit, and a suitcase that Sandra had managed to grab from the wreckage before clambering into the boat. After a week had gone by, with no sign of land or rescue in sight, their optimism faded. Supplies had run dangerously low, and Tim had nearly given up eating in order to keep Sandra healthy enough to supply nourishment for Allison.
Surprisingly, the little infant was holding up well under the strain of a fight for survival. She hardly ever cried, even when she was hungry, and she seemed to grow accustomed to less and less meals. Her bright eyes watched everything, and she seemed to understand the seriousness of the situation.
Sandra barely had the strength to lift her head and peer over the side of the rubber raft. At first, she saw nothing, but then, a smudge of green slowly swam into focus, and a flicker of hope echoed in her heart. With great difficulty, she managed to sit up, careful not to disturb the sleeping Allison.
“Is it really there, Tim? It's not a mirage, is it?” she asked, weakly.
Tim shook his head. “Not this time, love. I've been watching it for a while, and it hasn't moved or disappeared. The tide is carrying us right towards it. With any luck, we should be there in a few hours.”
Sandra breathed a sigh of relief. “I don't care where it is, just as long as it's land and has some decent food...”

Several hours later, the Braeburn's managed to drag the bulky raft onto a strange beach that bordered an exotic looking jungle. Sandra held Allison close and looked around as Tim secured the raft to make sure it wouldn't float away in high tide. He grabbed the suitcase and supply satchel from the raft and stood beside his wife. He held up the GPS/tracking device and stared at the small screen a moment, a confused look on his face.
“We may be in luck, love. It says that there are some buildings a little ways into the jungle here. There might actually be people on this island.”
Sandra smiled, tiredly. “Then lead on, dearest. You're the one with the map.”

Swiftstrike stared down at her empty nest in sadness. She'd just finished disposing of the unfertile eggs she'd laid nearly a month ago. The small clan of Velociraptors had come upon a hard time, with all the females laying either unfertile eggs, or hatching weak chicks that did not survive more than a few days. As the Alpha female, it was her duty to continue the line in this clan, and a missing generation would be viewed as weak by other raptor clans.
Swiftstrike stepped carefully into the nest and rearranged it to suit her needs. The clan would need to go hunting soon, and this would be the first time she would go since her clutch had been laid. She knew her mate, the Alpha male Grayclaw, was also suffering from the loss, yet still pressed on with daily life. Meandering her way over to the other members of the hunting party, the group of raptors discussed their hunting strategy and where in their territory they would hunt this evening.
One younger member suggested the area near the buildings, since some of the smaller game tended to congregate there. After a few more minutes of discussion, a location was decided upon and the hunting party set off.

Using the GPS, Tim and Sandra finally made it to a dilapidated structure that appeared to once be some sort of scientific compound long abandoned by its residents. Sandra shifted Allison in her arms and followed her husband inside the vine covered building. After a brief exploration revealed the place to be truly abandoned, Tim and Sandra simply set about making a place to sleep for the night. They'd do some more planning and exploring tomorrow. Sandra made a small nest-like bed out of some clothes from the suitcase for Allison, and Tim retrieved some blankets from the supply pack for himself and Sandra. Tim had plugged the GPS/tracking device into one of the consoles in an effort to recharge the battery and settled himself down beside his wife to sleep. Wrapping his arms around her, he held her close and was asleep almost instantly.
Neither of them heard the almost silent footfalls of a group of predators on the hunt, nor the soft grunts and growls as the clan communicated with each other. They did not hear the light clicking of a massive talon tapping on the floor, nor the heavy breathing of a raptor as it dipped its head slowly for a killing bite.
A soft coo from the corner of the room caught the attention of Swiftstrike. Making her way cautiously over, she saw a little squirming bundle in a nest made of strange material. With one foreclaw she gently pulled some of the material away to reveal a female youngling. Swiftstrike's heart immediately clenched as she realized that this was the hatchling of the two adults they'd just hunted.
She dipped her snout close to the little human hatchling and was surprised when the girl reached up and dug her tiny baby fingers into the skin, smiling and giggling. From that moment on, Allison belonged to Swiftstrike. The Alpha female raptor finally had her hatchling.

Eighteen years later, a young woman raced through the jungle of Isla Sorna, as a young raptor followed in hot pursuit. The young woman's red-gold hair streamed out behind her as she ran, heading for a mysterious destination. Ducking under tree branches and around saplings, the less flexible raptor was hard-pressed to keep up.
“Slow down, Alli,” the raptor panted. “Where are we going?”
Alli paused and allowed her brother, Shadow, to catch up. “Where else do you think, Shad?”
Shadow grimaced. “Mother told us not to go anywhere near those buildings, Alli, and you know it.”
Alli grinned. “But what Mom doesn't know, won't hurt us, right? Besides, aren't you the least bit curious as to why she's keeping it a secret?”
“Well...” Shadow replied, hesitantly.
“Thought so, now come on.” She turned and made her way through the undergrowth and out into the clearing where the building stood. Taking quick stock of the surroundings and sensing nothing out of the ordinary, she sprinted from the treeline and into the relative safety of the structure. Shadow was not far behind.
Inside, it seemed the structure had deteriorated even more, with dust having settled almost two inches in some places, and vines and moss growing everywhere else. Shadow whimpered.
“I don't like this place, Alli. I really don't think we should be here.”
But Alli wasn't listening. Something stirred deep within her as she walked through the building. A forgotten memory struggling to return to the light. Pushing open the door to a smaller room, Alli surveyed her surroundings.
The room was filled with odd looking boxes with dark glass squares on one side, all sitting on tables. In the corner of the room, she saw a pair of skeletons, a quick glance revealed her clan's hunting marks on them. She walked over to them in hopes of ascertaining what species they were. Alli had no idea. She'd never seen any creature like these two before. Something sparkled beneath some ragged material that still clung to one skeleton. Gingerly, she reached out and pulled it off. It was a chain with two small square bits of metal on one end and odd looking marks on the squares. She slipped the cool chain around her own neck and dropped the end of it down her tank shirt.
Suddenly, a beeping sound caught her attention. On the table nearest her, she saw a yellow square shaped object attached to one of the bigger plastic-and-glass boxes by a thin wire. She picked it up and held it in her hand a moment, examining it from all angles. Her finger pressed against a button on the front of the device and the beeping noise suddenly grew louder and more insistent. Alli dropped the device and covered her ears as Shadow squealed.
“Let's get out of here!” he roared. Alli nodded and the two made a hasty retreat while the device continued to beep.
Unbeknownst to them, Alli had activated the GPS' tracking feature. Letters and words scrolled across the screen.

"Alright guys, this is a standard search and rescue operation..." an older man dressed in military fatigue barked orders to his squad, which was packed like sardines in the belly of a blackhawk
Douglas, a young medic, sort of zoned out, and paid no attention to the sergeant. He heard it all before, and was in no mood to hear the speech again. He stared out of the window that was next to him. His gaze was fixed on a small blotch of green on the horizon.
As the man said, it was a standard search and rescue mission. Doug's squad was stationed on a destroyer ship that was patrolling the ocean around the general area, when they had detected a destress beacon a few hours ago. Doug was one of the eight other men selected to investigate, and to extract anyone they see on the island.
"Our charts tell us this island is quarintined, but does not specify why, as a safety precaution, you're all to wear your standard HASMAT masks, and are to have your weapons ready at all times."
Thirty minutes later, the chopper hovered a few feet off the ground, as the squad unloaded.
(OOC: Sorry that it wasn't as good as I wanted, but I had to type it in the middle of class on my laptop, and there's a drow sitting next to me, really really bothering me, trying to make me mess up, or write about an alien invasion...oh, and feel free to kill off the rest of the squad, except my character...I actually encourage killing them off.)

(OOC: I was going to write a little more, but then decided I was going to be a control freak if I did that. So enjoy working with this instead.)
Alli and Shadow looked up at the sound of the strange flying creature that appeared to land nearby. Immediately, they hid themselves and watched as strange creatures dropped from the belly of the odd looking beast with wngs that flapped incredibly fast above its head. Neither Alli nor Shadow had ever seen anything like it before, but they knew that whatever it was had dropped these creatures dangerously close to their territory. At the moment, they had appeared on the border of their pack's territory, and that of the reclusive Giganotosaur's territory. Razorback, unlike the other two super-predators on the island—the Rex and the Spino—tended to be more logical about his confrontations, and less prone to an instinctive attack. The two watched the group for a moment before Alli clicked softly at Shadow to go and bring help. Shadow left without a sound.
Alli continued to watch them as they meandered around and seemed to be discussing how to set up shelters. She quickly picked out the Alpha of the group as all the others seemed to look to him for orders.
Night was beginning to fall as Alli continued her surveillance. Some time later, Shadow reappeared with another packmate in tow. It was decided that when the strange creatures fell asleep, the three would do some snooping and try and figure out why they were there. They concocted an escape plan, in case the situation turned dangerous. Now, all they needed to do was wait.

Well if it not going to be anything you might as well know. In my city there is an underwearshop for larger sizes called 'Sandrabra'. Its on the main busroute to the trainstation so everyone knows it. Can you see how incredibly ...odd... this RP reads to me?? I don't know what the local Sandra's do, they might just use their middlenames or something... I can imagine girls with that name being pestered over here, especially when they become teenagers.

(OOC: Actually, the RP isn't dead, it just had to be temporarily paused while I had to go to the Gov's school. So, I'll wait to post later so that Min (and maybe Vorch) can jump in ^_^)

I won't be roleplaying, my creativity has been dead since February and is showing no signs of returning whatsoever. I just fill my sparetime with learning Spanish and reading books now.
