Hours past while the town waited for the Great Dragon return. All eyes were set towards the high mountains. You can see the people were very excited and ready.
Just then, the elder came running out of his house with a smile on his face. "I have great news everyone. Andrews,(whom was the name of the boy) has waken up. And he is feeling fine." The people were relieved to hear that as they turned towards the Elder. A few minutes later Andrews walks out of the Elders house. All were amazed of his recovery. "What are all you staring at? Should we be making our guests more comfortable? I for one like to thank them for bringing me back here and thanking them for there kindness." The boy walked up to the visitors, I like to thank you for what you all did for me. If it wasn't for that other boy whom I slammed in to, I would have been in a bigger mess or even dead. I owe you one." Andrews then turn is attention to the two dragons. " I see that there are other dragons on these islands as well." Then Andrews walks up to Kilodren and senses something is wrong. Speaking in the draconian tongue, He asked Kilodren what was wrong? As he felt that Kilodren was disturb by something. " Is there something on your mind?" Is it the Great Dragon that you are worried about? If you have any questions about my friend out there, I will gladly answer them for you. I know the Great Dragon personally. I know 'cus I was raised by him. You can say that he was like a father to me. Andrews shows the dragon the blood cut on the boys wrist the Great Dragon put on him." This is the mark of this clan 'The Mazaanakolas Clan', He told me that he was from a place across the bay. I believe he called it The Rainy Basin. He said that he was well loved by a lot of people and saurians there. And hated by a small group residents that tried to wipe his clan all out. There are three people left from his clan and they were brought here and they have the same mark I have. I'm not originally part of his clan, I was taken in by him and I'm considered his favorite. So if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me?" As he finished talking, he went to the towns sundial to check the time for he know It was almost time for is Friend, the Great Dragon, to show…

Kilodren expressed mild surprise when the boy confronted him in dragon speak. All four where very surprised to hear that he had been accepted as one of the dragons. Riders were accepted as partners, but were not considered dragons themselves, at least not by unbonded dragons.
Kilodren explained his plight and was surprised to see the young lad nod his head, as if he understood the complexities of a mating flight. Well in truth, Kilodren only knew of it from instinct. But that was a step ahead of the boy.
Xepher had been listening intently to Kilodren's conversation with the boy.
"You have nothing to fear, Kilodren. I will let no beast but you catch me in flight. And don't you forget it." She brushed her emerald cheek against his golden head.
Sil and Sallah had been listening to the history of Nibelhiem the young girl was telling them. Sallah shivered and leaned in closer to Sil.
"What is it love? It's much to warm to be cold." Sil asked, only slightly worried.
"I can sense another presense approaching, one much larger than any I've felt before. Larger even then Xepher's." Sallah told her mate, in complete fear of the large mind rubbing against her own. "I never told you, I have the ability to sense other minds in the vacinity. It's something that runs in my family. It was said Ortha herself was a master of it. But I can only sense the minds of saurians and dragons, I guess I'm not as skilled." Sallah explained, her hand pressed against her temple.
"Wait, so you can sense the minds of other beings near you? Why wait to tell me now?" Sil asked, leaning back from his beloved.
"I was worried you wouldn't want to be with such a freak!" Sallah cried, two lines of tears running down her cheeks. Sil took the hysterical girl into his arms, rocking her gently back and forth.
"Shhh, shhhh. It's alright, I'm here. What ever made you think this would make me hate you?" Sil asked the girl once her hyterical sobs had weakened into weak sniffles.
"I don't know. I guess that it would be to odd for anyone to accept. I never even told my Aunt. Kilodren knows, but I swore him to secrecy." Sallah told her mate, no longer scared that Sil would leave her. "It was silly really." She flashed Sil a grateful smile. "I'm sorry."
"It's all right. Now what about this large presense?" Sil asked Sallah gently.
"It's huge. A vast inteligence, one that greatly surpasses all others. It must be ancient, no mind that big could be young." Sallah explained. "I can only sense the minds of creatures, not their individual thoughts, they're kind of like pinpoints of light in my minds eye, and this one is huge." Her voice was colored with slight fear and awe at such a vast inteligence. Neither Rider noticed the growing anticipation from the people in the village.
Forthera had finished her meal and spread her vast blue bulk out on the stone precipace. Next to her the man spread himself out on the stone as well. The embers burned low, and the two odd companions fell into a much needed sleep.
On the other side of the currents, those which humans called the Hand of Dinotopia, the ambush grabbed each Marine dragon as it came out. They would be escorted back to their master, where he would decide their fate.

(OOC: Now, things are going to get very interesting. ;D
BTW, This my sound very close to another type of story, but it fits with my character somewhat in a way. He dose speak telepathy sometimes. And he dose speak verbally too (Most often). This is just to inform you so any of you won't get confused.)
As the girl was telling the visitors the history of the village, Andrews was at the sundial recording the time. Then Andrews turned and looked towards the towns well. He slowly walked up to it as if he was going to draw some water. At the same time be was walking he heard the voice of the Great Dragon in his mind. The others were unaware that Andrews was bonded with the Great Dragon. "Andrews I come." is what the voice said. Then Andrews went to the Elders house and went inside. "Sir", Andrews said with a grin, "He come soon. Should I tell the others?" How much time do we have before he comes?" The Elder bespoke. "He just said 'I come' sir. I would say by the way he said it that it would be at the suns zenith which is not far from now." Then Andrews hears the voice again. "I'm coming up from the south gate Andrews after I check out whats going on at my old lair on the Hand of Dinotopia. I won't be long." "Sir, He's going to the Hand of Dinotopia to check something first then, he'll be here soon." With a surprised look on his face the Elder turned Andrews towards the door, "Go! Go out to the well and make the anouncement and find out from the Great Dragon why he's going back to his old lair for?" This got the Elder puzzled. Because the Great Dragon has never taken this route before. He always came in from the north. Andrews came back outside of the house and went strait back to the well. He was about to make the anouncement then he heard the Great Dragon's voice in his mind again." No! No anouncement Andrews," In total shock from what he just heard, Andrews just stood there knowing not what to do or say. The town's people and the visitors just stared at him in confusion. Andrews then took the water pail and lowered it in to the well like he was drawing for water. Then he went back to the Elders house with the pail. "What's this Andrews? I didn't ask for water. I'd told you to make the anouncement." "But sir", Andrews shot back, " The Great Dragon just told me 'No! No anouncement Andrews' like he wanted it to be a secret or something." This got the Elder really puzzled now, Okay, We will both go out and do as he says. I hope the Great Dragon knows what he is doing? Because this is not like him at all. Something must have disturbed him at the Hand of Dinotopia.
The Elder and Andrews once more came back outside and headed towards the visitors as the Elder started saying. "You know Andrews you shouldn't forget that again." "Yes, It won't happen again sir." The visitors just finished talking when the Elder and Andrews came in to earshot of them…
(OOC: I'll try to have my character talk more verbally as the RP gos. I'm a little bit lerie about using telepathy because I'm Christian.)

The two riders settled down on the for-legs of Kilodren. Xepher had been getting testy and didn't quite like people sitting on her.
Sallah leaned into Sil. "The presense is leaving. I can feel it fading away." Sil gave only a mumbled 'huh' in reponse, to intent on the actions of his mount.
"She'll rise soon," he said to no-one inparticular "she always gets testy when she's about to rise. She sleeps a lot too." Even now the female green beast was slumbering in the early afternoon sun. "And see her tail twiching, it could come at any time now."
"Will other dragons know of it and come to find her?" Sallah asked, worried for Kilodren's sake.
"No, only dragons in range of sight will see and come to it. That's why I hope she rises before this Great Dragon comes." Sil told his mate.
"He's speaking!" Sallah cried, her back straight as a board. "I can see the change in my minds eye. That presense is speaking with his mind!"
"So, many people talk to themselves in their head's" Sil replied unperturbed.
"You don't get it Sil. He's speaking to someone else with his mind. It's the oddest thing. Not even Ortha had the power to speak to other peoples minds." Sallah sounded genuinly scared. "I hope what he says is good news."
Out in the currents, His servants were escorting their captives back through. He would be pleased with these new recrutes, whether they chose to be or not.

The girl was just finishing up the tour of the town when the Elder and Andrews arrived. "Is everything alright here? I suppose you got all your questions answered especially, the ones about the Great Dragon?" The Elder said with a grin. As he was speaking to the visitors Andrews was hearing The great Dragon in his mind again. Andrews stopped and stared at the Elder in a strange way. Almost like the way you would look when you don't agree with something. This was the way he got the Elders attention when something was wrong. The Elder turned to Andrews. "What is it this time Andrews? Is it something I said?"
"No. It was that grin you just did." Andrews said as he stared at the Elder with the same grin. "Oh, I get it," the Elder bespoke. "Excuse me all you people but, I just remembered I left the water on the stove. I'll be right back." The Elder and the boy went back to the house. What is it boy? The Elder said in a weary voice. "It's the Great Dragon is it?" "Yes sir"Andrews said as he was still receiving the Great Dragon's thoughts. "He said that there are a lot of Marine dragons out in the currents off of The Hand of Dinotopia and, not to worry about it. He is on his way back here now." "Good! The elder said in amazement. "How long before he gets here?" Before Andrews could answer a stiff wind picked up outside. "Now sir." The Elder and the boy rushed outside and ran to the visitors. Shouting at the top of his lungs the Elder said to the visitors, "Don't be alarmed HE COMES!"

The four members of Dragon City looked up to watch the Great Dragon land in the square. Kilodren's entire body tensed as he looked at this beast, his competition. Xepher lifted her head breifly before returning to her nap. Males! Always had to make a grand entrance.
Sil took comfort in the fact that Sallah saw the same phenomenon he saw. Sallah sagged in his arms, her eyes crammed shut and her fingers on her temples.
"What is it?" Sil asked taking the slight woman into his arms.
"It's his presence, I've never felt one so, Large, before. I just need a minute to get used to it." She flashed her partner a quick smile. As the dragon settled on the ground, another dragon woke in a foul mood.
Sil looked over at Xepher, his eyes widdened in shock.
"CLEAR THE SQUARE!" he shouted, taking Sallah in his arms and manhandling her over to a bench. With a defiant roar, Xepher launched herself from the ground. Kilodren not a breath behind. The town turned to the Great Dragon, all wondering if he would rise to catch this queen of the skys.
One Marine dragon that had been captured wasn't about to see this Him, who ever he was. As he was escorted through the currents, he made his move. With the skill of practice, he flicked his tail just so and shot off toward Crackshell point. Just try and catch him now.
"I'm sorry to report Master, that one of the Marine dragon contingent escaped." The Forest Dragon reported solemnly.
"am I to assume, that my plan could be jepardized by a little snot of a MARINE DRAGON?!" smoke issued from the veil of darkness that covered His face.
"We have our best hunters off searching for him as we speak master." The Forest Dragon was scrambling for threads.
"No," the voice said calmly. "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself." The beast behind the voice stepped into the light. And the Forest Dragon saw the face of his master.

The human had finished his mutton. Exhausted from his exciting week. He pulled a small blanket from Stuarts pack, and tossed it over him. Soon, both dragon and human were sound asleep.

Andrews ran up to the square as the Great Dragon was about to land. "ANDREWS!!!" The Elder cried out, "What are you doing? come back!" Thinking that Andrews was going to get hurt, The elder covered his eyes. "Oh come on sir. I know what I'm doing." Andrews shot back. The towns people were amazed to see a 180 foot long Western Dragon in the center of their town. As soon as the wind died down, Andrews went up to the Great Dragon. The Great Dragon leered back at him. Andrews was about to introduce this beast to the residents when the Elder came running up to him. "Go on Andrews, introduce him. Can you see he grows tired of waiting?" "Oh, Okay, Andrews clears his throat, "Ladies, Gentlemen, and Saurians, I introduce you to the Great Dragon." The Great Dragon looked at him and he shook his head. "What do you mean no?" Andrews shot back, In a very deep voice, like the voice of Draco in Dragonhart, The Dragon said, "You will introduce me by my proper name not as Great Dragon." This startled the people for a moment as Andrews tried again. "Oh, Sorry, Ladies, Gentlemen, and Saurians, I introduce you to Dwaggie Mazaanakolas." "Dwaggie will be good enough boy" The Dragon shot back. The Dragon payed little attention to the Mountain Dragons as he allowed the towns people to confront him. The towns people began to get down on their knees when the Dragon stopped them. "Get up! I'm not a god." Startled again, the people got up. Then the Dragon asked, "Andrews, Are you going to introduce me to your visitors form the main Island to me?" With a grin Andrews turned to the dragon. Well, lets let them Introduce themselves to you. I'm sure they won't need me, well, maybe only to translate draconian tongue to English for you…
(OOC:This won't be Dwaggie's normal behavior. He will be very friendly to people, saurians and other dragons.)

(OOC: I'm assuming by your lack of interest, you don't wish to take part in the mating flight Dwaggie. You wouldn't have won anyway.)
Sil and Sallah walked up to the Great Dragon...er...Dwaggie. Sil took the initiative.
"Well met, Grea..Dwaggie. I am Sil of the Cliffriders clan, and Rider of Xepher, the horny little beastie being chased in the sky." He gave a smile at the remark.
"And I am Sallah, descendant of the Great Ortha herself, one of the first Riders to settle Dragon City, and Rider of Kilodren, that little speck of gold against the sky catching Xepher." She pointed skyward. As one the two riders bowed low, showing their respect for this great beast of air and fire.
High above the clouds, Xepher taunted her only chaser. She prefered these solo flights, they made it much easier to tease her catcher. And Kilodren was a catch.
Xepher closed her wings and dropped to the ground, startling Kilodren out of his steady climb. She was going to have fun today. Kilodren was so strong, she may just get lucky and not have to let him catch her as she had the others.
Xepher climbed again, feeling each beat of her wings push the air out under her. She was truly a queen of the sky, master of her domain. She headed for a cloud, using it as cover to block her prospective mate's vision.
"Come to me Kilodren, I know you can." She taunted, darting here and their in the clouds.
Kilodren hovered above the cloud, he could wait, would wait, Xepher was worth it. She burst from the top of the cloud, catching the early noon sun on her dew speckled wings, making them glisten as if covered with a thousand fire-flies.
Xepher dodged out around Kilodren, rising higher into the sky. She was tiring and wouldn't risk another dive, it would take to much energy to climb back up. She looked behind her, Kilodren was fast closing the gap between them, she pumped her wings harder, but her altitude was slipping.
Before she knew it Kilodren was abreast her, locking claws with the flirty green, the two of them tumbling to the ground, bodies entwined.
Sil caught sight of the falling pair of dragons and again advised that the square be cleared, only this time adding that water be gathered, for this would be a spectacle to behold.
The two dragon's fell lower and lower to the ground. Reluctanly the two dragons parted, firing a blast of fire to the cobbled square below. This wasn't just a spectacle, but nessasary to keep from crashing into the ground.
Sil and Sallah embraced, glad that Xepher and Kilodren had mated, and turned to Dwaggie to properly introduce the newly made mates landing on the square.
Forthera woke at dawn's first light. It would be a long day, one she wasn't soon to forget. Her destination was out there somewhere, but she was sure there would be many miles of open ocean to cross before it.
It was good she had a traveling companion, even if they couldn't speak to one another. The great blue beast took off to find the human something for breakfast. They ate a lot, human's.
Forthera returned with a wallabee, and if the human didn't want it, she would certainly enjoy a breakfast snack.
"No," the voice said calmly. "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself." The beast behind the voice stepped into the light. And the Forest Dragon saw the face of his master.
The grotesque visage of what once was a proud Prehistoric Dragon stepped into the light. One eye-socket was empty, a limp hole where an eye once was. The face was badly burned, and one of the horns that sprouted from the back of his head was broken far down.
Th Forest Dragon shivered at the sight. He stepped out of the cave entrance and spread two wings that sported many holes and scars.
"It is time I gathered my army for war." He said. Without a furhter word, the beast took off into the early afternoon sun.

As the riders of Dragon City introduced themselves to Dwaggie as the two Mountain Dragons preformed above the square of the village. It was a beautiful site to see and, all of the towns people were in awe. Andrews turned to the riders as they Finnish there introductions. "So now that we are all acquainted with one another do you have any more questions about this place?" Andrews said with a grin, as the towns people were clearing the square for the two Mountain Dragons for a landing. The Elder was in control of the operation as he told each person what to do. "We need lots of water too" The Elder told some of the people. Dwaggie was watching the two Mountain Dragon coming in at a fast descent and blasting fire down to the square. Not knowing what the water was for, the towns people brought as much as they could to the square. As soon as they landed the two Mountain Dragons properly introduced themselves to Dwaggie…

Luckily, none of the towns buildings where burned in the firey spectacle. The dragon's introduced themselves to Dwaggie.
After introductions, it was time for celebration. Sil ran over to Xepher's removed saddle and brought out his trusty guitar. Sallah also brought out a well worn voilin.
The two riders played duets, playing many well known songs from Dragon City, as well as a few known only to riders.
Sil then put his guitar on his chair and stood up. Sallah stood behind him, her bow poised at the ready.
"The song I am about to sing, is old. As far as the records say, it was what was used by the Riders of Dragon City Legend, Ortha and her companions, to lead them to Dinotopia in times of old. This song is incomplete, for parts were missing from the scrolls."
Sil then began to sing. Sallah playing a sweet discant to the haunting song. The song sang of a lost paradise, far out in the sea, where Dragons flew the skies without fear, and large, flightless dragons of old walked where they had always walked, never realizing the trageties of the outside world.
The song touched the People of Nibelhiem in a way they thought they would never be touched. And the song recieved three oncours. Sil and Sallah beamed, glad to bring joy to these isolated people.
And then there was dancing. Yes much dancing. Sil and Sallah took the lead in the Toss dances again, leaving all the human competion in the dust, and a few saurian compedators running for their money.
They played another set, refusing to sit out for they were guests. They enjoyed music, and they enjoyed it more when they could spread it to others. The day waned and all was right in that little part of the world.

When first day break struck the human in the eye, he grunted and rolled over. He didn't want to get up early, today, and was soon fast asleep...again. But destiny would not permit the young human to sleep in, not since July 18, 1861, the day he was drafted. Ten minutes after he fell asleep, the wind quickly picked up, the early light was blocked from view, and a thud woke the sleeping human up. Thud, a dead young kangaroo...no wait...wallabee landed next to the human's head.
"Can't I just sleep in till eight for just one night?" He said to himself "The war is over for crying out loud..."
A second later, the human remembered his situation, and new companion. Reluctantly, the human sat up to greet the day with a moan.
"Morning." he mumbled to his new friend
The human refused to eat the wallabee, and settled for what food he could scrounge up from his packs.

Dwaggie gladly accepted the two Mountain Dragons introductions as the Fire Dragon Day Festival was about to begin. It would be a great festival indeed too. Lots of music and dancing too. All of the residents of Nibelheim both human and saurian were having fun. They love Sil and Sallah's music so much that they didn't want it to ever end. Even Dwaggie was impressed when he heard the lost paradise song. 50 years ago before he was exiled from the main Island of Dinotopia from a rogue group of Basiners, (which are still at large trying to rid the Island of all dragons), he only heard of such a place in the world where his mother Mazaanakolas 'Guardian of the Shadows' used to live. The name of this place according to legend was called Dragon Island. Dwaggie thought about it a few times about leaving Dinotopia to fine this legendary Island but, he heard the Dinotopian's say something about a razor reef and very strong hurricane like storms that in compass Dinotopia allowing nobody off the island. He heard some of his friend say to him that you could not even fly off the Island, and the Storms were like a barrier that would tear a dragon apart in a heartbeat. And he did know about the whirlpool currents at the Hand of Dinotopia that was an old shipping route out to the Outside World too. Though he knew about it in his old lair on The Hand of Dinotopia about leaving this way too. The only thing that stopped him was his friends he made on Dinotopia. He couldn't leave them. So he moved to these high mountain on the Outer Island and been here up to this very day protecting Nibelheim from the ones that exiled him and his clan. When the song was over, Dwaggie came up to the crowded square and spoke in the draconian tongue. "Dragon Island." It got very quiet in the square when they heard it. "The song is about Dragon Island", Dwaggie bespoke, "I know it well. Before my clan in the Rainy Basin got wiped out, I used to hear them sing it." After that, the town's residents had a surprise of their own to share to the visitors. A group of two boys and two girls got up on the towns stage and started playing the 'Song of Nibelheim' And they then played a few other songs native to The Outer Island too. Then Andrews went up to Dwaggie and asked him to follow him to the far side of the village. There he asked him. "Now that you met these visitors, I hope this doesn't mean your going with them?" Dwaggie thought it over before he replied. "Oh, What makes you say that?" You know I will never leave these mountains and this village. I'm only 152 winters old and, I still have a lot more winters more too. Us Western Dragons live up to 6000+ winters. Even if your generation is gone. I will be here to protect the next generation and the next as well." Hearing this made Andrews very happy indeed. He didn't want the dragon to leave because the dragon was almost like a father to him. Then they came back to the square…

Xepher turned to Dwaggie as he stated his thoughts on the song of Dragon Island. She told Sil what he said.
Sil turned to Dwaggie. "I don't think so. As far as our historians say, the song was created by a small band of Chandarans who escaped Dinotopia in the late 5th Dynasty of the Kingdom, and it is said that the story is about Dinotopia." "The line, 'And beast's that walk the ground/ free from human tyranny' is said to speak of the Dinosaurs that greatly out-numbered the dragons of the island. At least, that's how we discerned it." By this time, Sallah had walked up to the conversing males, and nodded in concurrence.
"Yes, I had to study the song in one of my classes. That seemed to be the only thing that historians agreed on." She then turned back to the stage, where the people of Nibelhiem where requesting Sallah sing another song.
Forthera sniffed at the man, his loss. In one fell swoop she took the wallabee and swallowed it whole. With out further delay, Forthera took the man by the shirt collar and gently placed him on her back again. Forthera motioned to the ropes still dangling about his wrists and ankles. Once he had caught the notion to tie himself to her, Forthera took off, turning her large bulk toward her hidden destination.
Below his master, the Forest Dragon watched the tattered wings of His mangled body, and began to have second thoughts. This beast was truly crazy, if he stayed, the Forest Dragon would surely die, but if he left his master, he would be killed for treason. It was a hopeless cause, all he could do was play along and hope for the best.
Above his minion, in the sky, He let out a shriek that peeled the paint of Prosperine, far to the north. He was calling his soldiers to Him. And with them he would eradicate this Island of it's human's, and any beast who stood with them. He would then take His army to the Outside World, destroying the human's that had caused Him this difigurment, and create a world of His design.

(OOC: Oh I love it Sil! Thankx for the inspiration here with this little argument between you and Dwaggie here. How about this for some real drama. Now it's time to have some fun. ;D )
Dwaggie turned to Sill, "Are you sure about the song? I recall hearing it long ago in my old village in the Rainy Basin. I know the lyrics by heart. And if the village is still there, there should be a cave on the far side of that village that has all the histories of my old village. The cave is part of the World Beneath system and is honeycombed through out. In it is and old scroll with the song on it. And the signature on the bottom of the scroll is marked Mazaanakolas 'Guardian of the Shadows', and right next to the signature is the seal of approval. Most of the stuff in the village was brought to Dinotopia from Dragon Island too." Andrews was near by and heard the conversation. "Dwaggie no! Your not planning on leaving are you? You promised that you would stay here and protect the village. Please, Don't go on this little quest. Remember the Dragon hunters that exiled you here? And that gos for you visitors to I don't want to see you lose your dragons over this. I heard that this is a very powerful group that will do nothing to destroy every dragon on Dinotopia." Andrews turn back to Dwaggie, "Sorry Dwaggie I had to tell them about this because we the people in this town love all dragon-kind and, don't want to see you all wiped out. Besides who's going to protect the village if your gone?" He continued. "And this scroll. It probably was lost when your old village was wiped out. I doubt it you will ever find it. For goodness sakes, It's just a song. A legend and, it's not worth losing all you dragons over it. You are all so dumb for wanting to go and find a stupid song. PLEASE STAY HERE DWAGGIE!" Andrews runs to the Elder's house and slams the door behind him. Everyone there was very shocked to hear this from the boy. This made Dwaggie stop and think about this for a moment. Should I go and look for this thing? This could answer some of my questions about my mother. Could I be putting all Dragon-Kind up for a slaughter? Could Sil be wright about this song, That is was created by a small band of Chandarans who escaped Dinotopia in the late 5th Dynasty of the Kingdom? These were only a few questions that was buzzing through his mind and possibly the whole village as well…
(OOC: Oh, I wanted to spice things up a bit here. So that's why I did this.)
